What do you like to eat at Tangaroa Terrace?

We're staying offsite on Harbor this next trip, and wondering if there is anything really good at Tangaroa Terrace to draw us to the DLH end of the resort after a long day of walking at the parks.

Tangaroa terrace is our favorite quick service restaurant. We love going at night for the ambiance. they have a live band to listen to while you relax by the palm trees and tiki torches. Very relaxing! I am a vegetarian and so i love the tofu salad. Dh and DS love the hawaiian burger.

Tangaroa Terrace and Trader Sam's share a really nice outdoor eating area. As Planningjollyholiday said they often have live music and if the weather is pleasant it is lovely to order a drink from Trader Sam's and sit on the terrace. You can then order food off the Trader Sam's menu from your cocktail waitress (it is table service) - I like the crispy fried green beans. Or you can go into Tangaroa Terrace and order food there to be picked up by you at the counter (they have computer terminal ordering.) The Ahi Poke is really good if you like raw fish and avocado. I also like the Asian Chicken Salad which has plenty of really delicious cubed chicken pieces and lots of nice fresh veggies. My son likes the Hawaiian Burger that has pineapple and bacon on it w teryaki sauce.

I agree with all the PPs. It's one of my favorite places at DLR. At the end of your long day, hop on the Monorail in Tomorrowland and it will drop you off in DTD very close to the DLH. Enjoy!

I LOVE the Hawaiian burger!! I also like to eat in the same area (outside terrace) but order from Trader Sam's menu. I love the chicken lettuce wraps!! Mmmmmm.

Assuming it's still on the menu (and I am not sure if it is?)... I like the Panko-encrusted chicken breast sandwich with Tamarind BBQ sauce and green papaya slaw. You can get it with sweet potato fries or regular fries. It's got an interesting mix of textures and flavors for a BBQ chicken sandwich!

I love the Ahi Poke - it was the closest thing I could find to satisfy my need for sushi and it was perfect. Hubby and I were staying at DLH and popped down to Trader Sams for drinks and picked up the Ahi and a Hawaiian Burger for him (which is also very good!). It is our go-to quiet relaxing spot when we travel without the kids.

The wings from Sam's weren't bad either.... that Poke... making my mouth water.

Thank you all for your responses. Looks like a good place to go for both food and atmosphere, so I'm putting it on the list!
