What do you do with your "Mickey Ears"? We've got regular ears, 50th ears, etc.... Now, the kids are asking for YOMD ears. I'm finally almost done unpacking from a move and have found lots of ears that I'm not sure what to do with now! I love them, but was thinking-what to do.....hmmmm? Any ideas on what you do with yours would be helpful-store them, display them, etc.....:)

Ours are displayed on top of our entertainment center. We've got our gold ones, pirate ones, and the ones we were dreamed with up there. It's a daily reminder of our trips.

Yup, mine are on top of our computer desk. We have a ton of them as well!

I only have one pair :( soon to be more :D. I have them hanging on my headboard of my bed. Nice to wake up to.

I don't have any, but ds's and dd's are in their rooms on their dressers ready to go again, and dh got the aviator ones this last time and he plans on wearing them again this fall when we all go together again. As well as wearing them to a motorcycle rally he plans on attending. lol

dd has her in her room. and she wears them almost daily! But she has the regular ones, 50th ones, and pink princess ones!

Wait...where are mine??

our next trip I think we will get Mommy/daughter ears.

Right now, my DS's are on the top of his dresser, but I have plans of taking tiny straight pins and tacking the ears up around the top edge of his wall. (kind of like a wallpaper border, but without the wallpaper :) ) He has only a few pairs now, but it is a collection that we can add too over the years!

It is fun to see what others do with their ears. I have a budding collection of ears.... gold ones from July 17th, traditional, dream, and vintage ears from 50's and 60's. (Decided to collect old DL hats...) Not sure what I am going to do with these ears, but I sure love em! Can you tell by my signature and avatar?

Ours are thumbtacked to our bedroom wall.........an interior designers nightmare , but a beautiful sight for me!

Thanks! Great replies-keep em coming! :)

This may be a dumb question, but for those of you that thumb tacked & want to pin them to the wall, are you doing this with them folded & facing forward, or whole, the way you were them, against the wall?

I have groom ears (the top hat) and it's turned upside down and currently contains my hair ribbons and headbands.

I get them shadowboxed - well actually I do it myself. Here is an example of the first one I did (only one I have unpacked):

It's from Pirates night on the Cruise. Has a pic of us with Pirate Chip & Pirate Dale.

Folded and facing forward. I have also tacked the bottom down slightly so that you don't look at the empty part.

I love the shadow box idea!!

I tend to pull out a pair from my collection when ever I go to DL. I figure why buy a new pair when I have so many to chose from. But I am thinking of framing my Club 33 ears (don't get excited I had a lovely person get them for me I have not been), or maybe wearing them. I have some on display on my entertainment center the rest are in my hat boxes.

What a fantastic idea! :cutie: Thanks for sharing! :thumbsup2

I buy a new set for the family to represent each trip we take to DL - Our family room is being decorated in disney so on one wall I am having a castle mural done (that's the wall where the projection screen comes down) and on another wall I am painting a huge mickey head silhoette (sp???) and my husband has made shelves for each set of ears that will be attached to the wall inside the painted head - I have the year embroidered on the back of each set of ears at a local shop when I get home from each trip so we will remember what year it was.

That's what I am doing with mine!

My kids have theirs thumb tacked to thier bedroom walls and mine are on my night table. We each only have 3 pairs. Original, 50th anni and pirate.

Hopefully we will get there in Oct. and add a 4th pair to our collections.

Mine are currently packed in boxes as we recently moved, but they are normally displayed in any of the 5 rooms with a Disney theme at our house.

Today is hat day at my dd's school, and I told her I was going to wear mine to her school and walk her to her class. I would introduce myself to everyone I saw as her mom, too.

Lucky for her I have the flu, and am taking my first sick day in years....

right now they are in each person's bedrooms. I like the idea of shadow boxing them. I will have to try that.

Our 2 dream ears are pinned one facing froward the other one backwards......the others are facing front like you would wear them........except for the 1st ones my little guy got the have his name facing out.
