What do you do with your jackets?

If your goal is to go bagless, wear or carry your jacket/hoodie in and put one of these...http://www.amazon.com/Mato-Hash-Pro...id=1464705904&sr=8-6&keywords=string+backpack.... in everyone's pocket. Everyone carries their own backpack and has the jacket/hoodie with them when they need it.

I know others use the lockers and it seems to work for them, but the lockers are at the ENTRANCE to the park. That's a long walk back to the locker just to grab a jacket. We thought about getting a locker when we went in December, but the logistics just didn't work for us.

As to the temps, no matter what anyone's experience was in previous years, there really is no way to know. You could have a week of all 80s with lows in the 70s. You could have a week of 50s with the lows in the 30s. And you can have a mixture of anything. You'll know what to expect as the date gets within a week or two and you can pack/plan accordingly.

Yes I hate that walk, so no Locke for us. If it's cold, and it does get cold, we wear hoodies and then remove then and either tie them on our waists or stick them in a backpack.

Our rule is: if you need a jacket, wear it or carry it. Mom is not a pack mule. They can wear it and be warm and if they get too hot, tie it around your waist or your shoulders.

That said: we never wear jackets, just a hoodie or a fleece. I was very surprised at how many people I saw in January with Parkas on (it was 55 degrees, the parkas were really overkill). Of course we are from New England....50 or 55 in January meant shorts for my DH and DS.

So true...I was in shorts in January down there. The shade gets a little cool but the sun is perfect.

Another vote for tying it around your waist. I do this nearly every October at our State Fair. Starts out chilly in the early morning and by noon I've got my hoodie tied around my waist. Wore a light-weight zip-up hoodie around my waist at WDW in March. Left the resort in the morning with it tied around already for the most part, but it came in handy a few times, especially if we got sprinkled on and then had to go into an attraction or restaurant with the air-conditioning on full blast.

I would just wear a backpack, but if you don't want to carry a bad definitely just wear or tie the jumper around your waist. if you are worried about your kids possibly dropping the jumpers/ it coming undone, bring a safety pin and once the jumper is tied, pin it to their pants. that way no matter what they do, it won't fall off or get lost.
