What do you do when you just can't make up your mind as to where you want to eat?

Do you wing it?
Do you make ADR's all over the place?
Do you make ADR's for breakfast and dinner every day and then cancel later?

We've been to WDW enough to know where we like to eat and what places to try, but dh leaves it up to me to decide and I just don't know this time.

I've got 6 days to decide before I can call and make ADR's and I am going bonkers!

Typically we wing it. The only ADR I make is for Ohana's because of what time we prefer. When entering MGM we stop by Guest Services and make ADR for that day. Usually we only do a few sit downs. If Ohana's, CRT, PSB, or Le Celliers is where you are looking to eat I suggest making ADRs for those locations. Since desired times fill up fast. I made Le Cellier's ADR on 6/28 (the day I booked) for 9/14. I got 5:30pm.

I think it depends on what time of year you are going if you are able to "wing it" on ADRs. Make ADRs for your favorite places to make sure that you get them. I'm an obsessive planner so I figured out where we are going to eat everyday and now we have to stick to it. We have park hoppers so if we change our minds about what parks we are going to, we can just go in for dinner if we have to.

I don't recommend making double booking ADR's then cancelling later, as this makes it difficult for others to get in who KNOW they want to eat there. We are on the free dining plan this year, which allows us to eat at places we never could have afforded. My list of where I want to eat is a mile long, but I HAD to choose my favorites(and there were some traditional places we wouldn't miss) and make a decision. I mainly talked to my DD's as DH will just sort of follow along. I know we can't possibly cover them all, but at least we get to try alot of them. I did decide very recently to add a couple places and pay for them out of pocket....We'll just choose the cheapest restaurants to pay for ourselves. Yes, its extremely hard to make these decisions, but have fun with it and try the places you missed next time! :flower:

I would sit down with my traveling companion and look at the AllEarsNet.com menus and get some help with my decisions, then make ADR's for those places. If I later decided I wanted something else, I would call up, cancel and make a new ADR for the place I wanted. If I got to WDW and for some reason could not use my ADR I would cancel and go somewhere else. Example: If you have a 7 pm ADR, but are starving at 5, I would call and see if I could switch it to an earlier time (I've done this successfully at Margaritaville at Universal as well as 50's Prime Time) or else cancel and grab counter service or a less crowded establishment.
If you know which places you like, make a general schedule and base your restaurant choices around which park you will be in.

Good luck!
