you have jumped to the wrong conclusions, putting both feet into your mouth and find out later you were totally wrong?
How do you make up for something like that? Saying "I'm sorry", doesn't seem enough.

) Sometimes that's all you can do, sometime you can send one of those little "I'm sorry" cards, maybe a little flower boquet that you present to the person yourself etc. It just depends on who, what and the people involved.
