What do you do to feed your Disney Addiction?

Hello everyone!

I am wondering what others out there do to feed their what I call "Dis-drawls", AKA Disney Withdrawls, bewteen WDW visits?? From when I return from our trip, to when I can start planning our next vacation to WDW, which is usualy 2 years apart, I find myself longing for Disney - and it can get pretty bad every now again.

I am a self-professed Disney Addict! ;) During the summer I would put household chores off to surf the Disney boards and read and make a post after post after post....:surfweb: I would get up bright and early and log onto The Dis with cup of coffee in hand. Sometimes not showering til late afternoon and scrambling to get some things done before DH got home so that I *looked* ambitious! The minute I log onto my computer (My home page is DisBoards.com), I go right to the "User CP" link and spend time checking out who has responded to what posts I am subscribed to...

I have Disney checks, a Disney ringtone on my cell phone, I bought a Disney Princess towel this summer which freaked my kids out ( I have 3 boys), no one will use it but me! I will buy most any kind of snack for the kids for school just because its Disney... I even find myself listening to the Disney Sirius Satellite station in the car even when the boys arent with me! I used my refillable mug most every morning just so I can remember the mornings at WL filling it up on our way to the water taxi... I have 4 pictures on my desk at work from our Disney vacations... I listen to DisRadio on my computer when I am alone in the office... I am sure there are other things, I just can't think of them right now!

So my questions is: What do others out there do to feed their Disney Addiction, besides the boards, in bewteen visits?

We go to other theme parks and b & c that it's no WDW! LOL

My kids are complete suckers for anything Disney puts out so it's all Disney here, all the time. LOL

I listen to Live 365 and tune into Park Hopper Radio.
I hit the Disney Store as often as I'm in the mall.
Watch Disney movies.
Watch Disney channel with my kids.
Talk about plans for our upcoming trip with my DH, he's just as much of a fan as I am.
Log onto Disboards.
Talk about Disney to co-workers and just about anybody who will listen.
Go thru past Disney vacation photos.
When we really get closer to the trip I watch the planning video over & over.
Where my Goofy t-shirts all year 'round.
When I change my passwords on my work computer and work email I give them Disney names.
Make meals out of my Disney Kids Cookbook, the kids think I'm doing it for them...little do they know hahahaha

Before we joined DVC, when I thought we might not go back for a long time, I could not even log on to the DIS until another trip came to be in the works.

Now that we are DVC members and are probably going at least once a year, it's my hobby to be always planning a trip.

I at least scan the DIS boards every day if not sit there for a long time reading. I have learned so much about Disney here and a lot about things totally unrelated to Disney.

My kids and I listen to Disney on Sat radio

We buy Disney t-shirts, towels, etc.

We buy pins and organize them into pins to keep and trade (we buy wholesale lots off of Ebay)

It seems to take me forever to get my pictures printed, so I work on the last trips pictures for a while

We record all Disney travel shows on TV

I love "educating" people about trips if they ask.

Some people just don't understand. That is why I love the DIS boards!

We can't wait for our next trip in December.

I...

shop online at disneyshopping.com

go to the Disney Store at the mall

plan my next trip (we go 2-3 times a year...thanks DVC!!!)

TOO FUNNY!:rotfl2:
I LOOK all around me ( My Home office is....YOU guessed it, Disney inspired) so I get to "live it" a little each day:banana:
I also READ the DIS each day...............................:wizard:
I REALLY HOPE YOU FILLED OUT AN APPLICATION FOR DISNEY MOMS PANEL!!!!! You should!

One of the things that we do to keep the magic going is to use the Mickey meal plates (that the kids meals come in at Disney) to serve dinner to our younger 2 kids. I collected them while we were in Disney and we have used them pretty much daily since. Maybe because I was jealous of their plates, but for our 15th annivarsary this year, I asked my husband for the black and white Mickey dishes from Disney Shopping, and now every meal feels like we are there. At dinner we have a question of the night, like what is your favorite ride in MK and why? Stuff like that.
I also watch everything on the Travel Channel, order the planning video every year, even if it is the year we are not going, just so I can see what's new.
I help our friends who ae going to Disney plan their trips, and that is a lot of fun especially if they have never been before.
I enjoy AllEars and recently started DISing.
I wear my Mickey neclace that I got for Mother's Day one year so "the magic" is always close to me.
I look at old photos, videos and scrapbooks and remember all the great times we have had.
I have a digital photo frame by the couch that is full of nothing but our Disney World photos.
We play Disney games like Scene It, Monopoly, Pretty Pretty Princess, all the Disney version games.
We play our favorite car game, Who Am I?, where we ask yes and no questions to figure out who the person is thinking of.

Yeah I surf the boards,
price trips we never go on,
beg DH to go,
find ways to talk about it with friends,
surf Allears.net,
visit the Disney Store at the mall,
check out the Disney store online,
listen to Live 365,
make my kids Disney related clothes - I'm making HM pants for my DD9 right now.
Sometimes we watch a slew of Disney movies
watch the disney planning video

I'm trying to get DH to commit to a trip right now - I need medication!!!

Being a DVC member helps because you know that you will be going on Disney vacations for many many years to come. We are set up for the rest of our lives with villa style lodging and we like that. And once you stay at a DVC resort there is no going back to a standard hotel room.

This summer we did 2 weeks at Hilton Head. 1 weeks at Disney and the next week in a non Disney condo. We loved the Disney week but the second week was a bummer and we actually went home early.

So knowing that you are a part of Disney for the rest of your life is a really nice feeling. That really helps me make it between trip knowing that we will be able to go and afford the lodging.

I make a scrapbook of the most recent trip. This past trip was 12 days long and I have over 600 photos, so the scrapbook(s) will take months to complete. I try to spend at least a few minutes a day on it, so I get to relive the trip a little bit every day:).

DIS DIS AND DIS
I READ IT AT WORK, HOME AND TAKE MY LAPTOP CAMPING,
OH YEAH
ALLEARS AND PAST PORTER ALSO:thumbsup2

Plan trips...and visit the DIS daily :)
Hit the Disney Store about once every 2-3 months and look at our albums from past trips with the girls :)

I am such a Disney Addict too!! I am always looking at things to plan our trips, we are planning our Dec. trip (3rd this year, just can't get enough) and my husband was joking that I will probably start packing soon, you better believe I will. I have even started planning our May 09 trip. There is Disney stuff throughout the house, my flower beds and car are disneyfied as well, heck my daughters name is Ariel and our dogs name is Tink. My husbands hobby is collecting antique tractors, so my dd6 has a pink one with a decal on the hood of Tink and it says Ariel's Tinker Toy. Maybe we aren't Disney Addicts, may we are Disney Nuts!!??!!??

Contary to what others believe, I am normal!:snooty:
Yuppers, all of the above. I have also had to start ordering books from the library about anything I can find Disney. Parks, bio's, resorts......

Yup! I've got it bad  and love every minute of it!

Plan our next trip.
Offer to help with planning for anyone who mentions the word Disney.
Bring it up in conversation with anyone and everyone who will listen.
Read any disney books I can get my hands on.
Read Disboards and other sites all the time.
Watch disney channel with the kids and buy all the new movies.
Buy lots of disney clothes.
Visit the disney store and disney online.
Disney on ice.
Etc, Etc.

As I sit here at work, afraid someone is looking over my shoulder seeing all the little faces on the right, and will know what I am up to! :headache: Although I am back to work after a great summer off of surfing the DisBoards daily, I still need to get my daily "fix". Not as often as I'd like, but just enough to keep me addicted! I still think Disney most of the day. :grouphug: Glad to see I am not alone!!? :woohoo: I have actually started a support group here on the dis - 18 months old and still running strong! :rotfl:
