What do you do at your resort for Halloween?

Ok, so we will be going this Halloween but we are not doing MNSSHP on that day because it is so crazy!
We have reservations at Hoop Dee Doo and thought we would do some trick or treating at the campsites.
Has anyone ventured over there?

We camped there a few years ago. We arrived on 10/31 and found that many people had decked out there golf carts with lights and scary themes. They had a little caravan/parade going on. They were driving through all the loops but I did not see anyone TT. We actually went to HDDR and had a great time!

We will be at the HDD on Oct 28 and would love to bring Halloween treats, especially allergy friend treats.

We're at Fort Wilderness the night before (30th) for Trails End and Return to Sleepy Hollow (which could be an option for you guys on Halloween, it was $22) and apparently they have a golf buggy parade where every one decorates their carts. We're also planning to look around the campsites at the decorations. The cast member I spoke to was ecstatic about the decorations at Fort Wilderness.

For Halloween we'll be having dinner at Beaches & Cream, then hitting up Abracadabar and Jellyrolls and hopefully, other people will be dressed up.

There's plenty of non-park hotel options you can do but the hotel activity schedules won't be out until October annoyingly.

I think what you are asking is about Trick or Treating. I know at one time they had it at some places at Down town Disney -- now Disney Springs but I believe they no longer have that?
If your kids want to go trick or treating the best way is the Halloween party.... yes expensive but they will have a good time get a lot of candy and see a great parade and fireworks as well as get on some rides. I would not expect other guests to have treats as they are on vacation as well.

Obviously you have not been to the campgrounds during holidays like Christmas and Halloween. LOL The campers really get into the holidays.

OP - Yes, a lot of the campers really do a great job decorating. I had this (below) from a few of years ago
  1. Sites that want to hand out candy must register and receive a Camp or Treat sign to place on their campsite to indicate that they are open to Trick or Treaters. Families can pick up a map at the front entrance that will show which sites are ready and waiting with candy.
  2. Trick or Treat is hugely popular at Fort Wilderness and many, many campsites ran out of candy by the end of the night. Start early for the best chance to fill up your treat bag.

Other resorts have games, crafts and trick or treating and some have characters that show up for a photo opp for about 45 minutes.

Do they do anything on the Boardwalk for Halloween? We are staying at the Swan, so that would be very handy.
