What do you coffee drinkers do for your morning cup of joe?

I have to have my good coffee ~ organic swiss water processed decaf :thumbsup2 every morning.
At home I use a french press , although I just had to purchase another one because on a little weekend trip I took mine and it cracked~those things are fragile!
They sell stainless steel french presses for about $60.00 - twice the cost of the glass, but worth it if you love good coffee!!!
I haven't gotten the SS press yet, I guess I will just bring my coffee and put it in the coffee maker in our townhouse in a couple of weeks:confused3 Hopefully it will be good. I haven't used an electric coffee maker for so long!

BUY the stainless french press, you will be so happy!!! I had also cracked my glass one and bought the stanless one and love it. The coffee stays hot so much longer and it actually seems a little bigger. I take mine to WDW with me along with some coffee that I grind right before I go, or if we are staying for a while, I take our little grinder. It is worth it to me to have a good cup of coffee.:)

Going at the end of April and staying at the Wilderness Lodge??? I'll be your neighbor....and your best friend. LOL!!

I've heard a lot of people complain of the coffee; I might have to bring my own as well.....

We drank the skank in the refillable mugs from The Mara at Animal Kingdom Lodge. Not good. I'm bringing a maker on my next trip. It's a grind and brew. My neighbors will LOVE me.

Can't stand the Nescafe also! I pack some Dunkin Donuts coffee, filters and disposable cups/ lids, I'll have a cup in the room and then take a cup along on the bus to the parks. We've always had a pot in the room, if you won't I'd recommend bringing your own or doing a swap.

DW & myself bring a coffee pot every vacation. We have a $10.00, 10 cup pot bought at walmart. The 4 cup pots are not enough to keep up with 2 coffee drinkers.:rotfl2: We leave the maker in the box & put all the filters in the maker and ziplock full of coffee in the pot. We stayed @ ASMo last jan and no coffee pot in the room. We bought a coleman fridge, also at walmart, for about $80.00. It has a 12volt plug for the car and an adapter for 110 volt at the hotel. It is a little smaller that the one that you rent at the hotel but it is very light and easy to use.

Sorry, I'll be there in June at the Contemporary and the BCV. Hope you find a coffee-mate :goodvibes

We always have our morning coffee in our room. My dh will go and get it while I am getting ready. Than we get more coffee in the parks. I have to have my coffee. LOL

:surfweb: We stayed at CSR in 06, and are planning to stay there again in 08, the pepper market has a great walk up window next to the entrance to the Maya Grill where you can get coffee and muffins. I got my wife a decaf and myself a cappucino each morning.

We are going to Shades of Green in a few weeks. So glad to hear about Starbucks coffee!! Did you enjoy your stay at Shades of Green? Any tips or suggestions you would like to share? Email me at klowdermilk@charter.net
thanks Karen

Like many others have said- brought my own. Now have to add that the Kona pressed pot coffee was pretty great.

The pressed pot at the Kona is worth the $7. Hands down - the best coffee on the property!

How does the coffee pot switch work? The coffee isn't the greatest, but if I get really desperate I head for McDonald's at DMP:) I drink decaf...but..I still need my coffee in the morning...If I have to drink the coffee there it makes getting a good one at McDonald's even better:) I would be willing to do a switch/swap for the coffee pot tho.

If you go to ebay and search for "travel french press" you can find travel mugs that are french presses from $15-$30 (more if you want a really fancy one). You put in some roughly (not finely) ground coffee, add hot water (like from the hot water dispensers at drink stations), put on the lid, press the plunger, and you have great coffee.

Just another option.

No Doze. I'd much rather get my fix from a pill then from crappy coffee. And for such a drinker I am beyond uncapable of brewing a half decent pot of my own. Though from now on there will be at least one breakfast at Kona a trip. It is beyond worth it.
