I am looking to consolidate some of the stuff I carry around the parks. I always feel like a sherpa the way I'm strapped down with "necessities". I think I am going to get a lumbar pack (not a fanny pack ;) ) I need to carry my camera (and accessories), water bottle, wallet, DH's sunglass case, PassPorter, and misc stuff.

What does everyone else carry?

I try to carry as little as possible, hat on head, Passporter Passholder, disposable camera in pocket, water bottle and strap. I gave up on my digital camera--it's an old Sony Mavica, and just too heavy to haul around.

All three of us, dh, dd and myself, have fanny packs. WDW is the only place my dh will wear one. But he got tired of being the one who had to lug the backpack around. We each carry our poncho, and whatever we feel we might need. I have the passes, and the camera. Dd has her autograph book/pen, and snacks.
I wish I could get away with nothing to carry around but I don't think that's ever going to happen!!

My cell phone will fit in my passporter passholder so thats all I take too, I use take a backpack, then I got it down to a fanny pack, now I am down to just a passporter passholder and a waterbottle strap with a water bottle. It makes life so much easier!!

I used to carry a backpack & a fannypack, but have mostly gotten down to just the fannypack. When traveling in iffy weather, I will still use the BP because I get cold easy & need to have a sweatshirt handy. Also, if we do EMH, I have to lug meds in to drop off at First Aid, so I need my backpack then too....
If I'm down to just the small fannypack, I use a water bottle lasso also.

We use a stroller w/ a small basket. I throw diapers and the changing pad in there, carry a bell bag w/ passporter, tickets, keys, camera etc in it. Anything else gets jammed in the stroller (like autograph book/pen, water bottles, sippy cups etc). No one else carries anything.

Anything valuable I keep in the belly bag on me. We tie sweatshirts around our waists if it's going to be chilly.

1 backpack

In the backpack we have

3 frozen bottles of water
3 samiches
3 chips cookies crakers type stuff
lite jackets
digital and 35mm camera

I am sure I wear pants that have pockets. My Dh carrys our passes. I just have the cc cards, a lipstick and very small brush and my inhaler and that is it. I hate having anything hanging off on me and I double hate the fanny packs. When we are walking around I even hate carrying any beverages, so I made sure I am done drinking before we start walking.

I have found a few lumbar/waist packs that look like they will work for me. It's nice to hear what everyone else does. I see a lot of similarities.

I am getting tired of having things hanging off my shoulders, so I think waist pack is the answer. I also hate carrying beverages, that's why the bottle strap is such a great invention (why didn't I think of that?).

BTW: Got Quattro - I've never seen samiches spelled like that and that's exactly how I pronoune it! I have to start using that.

Fanny pack only! It has plenty of room for my wallet, hand sanitizer, reading glasses, ibuprofen, cell phone, and a small brush. DH wears shorts with lots of pockets but basically just brings his wallet and cell phone. We don't have kids, and I know it's impossible to travel so light with children!

We are considering the water bottle strap--seems practical.

I have a fanny/camera pack ... its great for holding my camera, wallet and everything else. On the days it rains, I often wish I had a bigger bag to take my ponchos in.

We take a stroller, diaper bag, and small Handycam camera bag. The camera bag goes in the basket under the stroller and the diaper bag (really more like a large purse, black microfiber) hangs off the handle so we don't actually carry anything at all around the parks. Water and cups go in the holders on the stroller. When we go on the attractions we just grab the camera bag which has the video and digital cameras, and leave the stroller and diaper bag outside. My husband would never let me live down wearing a fanny pack so that's a no-go in this household:blush:
