What do we eat?

This is our - DH, DD4, DD2 and I -first stay at BWV in June. We requested a room on the ground floor close to the main pool. My question- is there anything to eat when you are at the pool or do you need to take food from your room? This resort appears to not have any quick service restaurants i.e. Roarin' Forks and Artist's Palette that are quite convenient when down at the pool with the kids. It looks like if you want a quick bite to eat, you need to actually go out onto the boardwalk to get it!

Yes there is food available at the pool. There is a pool snack bar called Leaping Libations and it offers sandwiches, snacks and drinks. The turkey sandwich is really good IMHO. Other than that it's the restaurants at the boardwalk. You can get quick foods at BW Bakery - some sandwiches, if I remember correctly, and pizza at the window at Spoodles. Have fun!

When we were there in December, the bartender said that you could also order off the room service menu.

With small kids, I'd say bring some snacks... There are chips, sandwiches, and etc... But you would probabily make your $$$ stretch further by taking fruit snacks, crackers, juice boxes, and etc. in a cooler bag...

Yoou can get food poolside or we would always order a pizza from Spoodles and eat it by the pool.
