Woke this morning as usual, DH goes to move my car, get his car out of the garage, then it is bin day, so he goes to the garden and brings the bin around to the front of the house.

When DH comes back into the house unusual for him, he tends just to drive off, "the shed has been tampered with, the window has been poped out" he says.

And the solar lights are missing, we had 5, 2 have been taken, 1 left in place and two have been dropped, so we think they must of been disturbed

The window is not broken it is just perspex, but not the point it cost me £22 for wood to secure the inside.

Thankfully i have expensive taste, and things are too big to go through the window :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

So DH when he gets home is having to screw the wood onto the inside of the shed to cover the windows.

Rant over Cheers for reading

So all they gained was £20 worth of lights

this kind of thing really makes me mad... i don't understand why these people think they have the right to take other people's belongings!??! argh!

anyway... i'm sorry this happened to you.... ((((hugs))))

They gain nothing , cannot understand some people - the problem is even if they get caught the punishment never fits the crime.
There is just no excuse for theft.

It doesn't matter whether its 2p or £200 value, it's the fact someone has been on your property without consent.

Makes me very angry.

This really makes my blood boil. It is not the moneytary value but the inconvenience that is caused to you.

Unfortunately, some people just have no respect for other people's belongings. When my girls were living with 'that woman', they moved into another house across the road. The very next day, someone set fire to the house they had been living in. The girls, obviously, were pretty traumatised by this as they thought the same p[eople might have done it if they'd still been living there. The oldest is still absolutely terrified of fire.

Sorry, getting off the topic for a bit there. The point is, these people do not care that they are your things. Thank God nothing more expensive was taken ::yes::

Oh dear, that's terrible, thankfully they didn't take much, but that's not the point

Sorry to hear you have had this experience. Some people just have no respect or thought for others! Thankfully weve never had things taken but at the moment are having to endure little so*s throwing stones at our window on their way home from school. Its an almost daily occurance and despite informing the school and police not a lot seems to be happening. Having stepped out and had a slanging match (how good did i look - not :sad1: ) with three teenage boys they merely called me choice things and sauntered off down the road. This all stems from me complaining about the bullying they had been doing to my son and the school telling them my sons name! Its just a sick old world at times.

And the schools then wonder why parents and kids are unwilling to report bullying!! I was bullied at school and nothing ever happened. Took me a while to figure out how the school advertised itself as having tough bullying rules and no bullying problem (far from the truth.) Turned out they did have these rules but they just ignored the bullying when it happened so their public stance was "look we have all these tough rules and we never implement them therefore we can't have any bullying going on can we?" My friend actually changed schools it got so bad :(

Anyway, so sorry to hear you were burgled, it's a horrible feeling knowing somebody has been on your property overnight. At least they didn't try to come indoors.

Awww that's horrible why do people do this? Hope you're feeling a bit better :grouphug:
