What do I need to book an ADR?

I have to call next week to book our ADRs and I'm wondering what they're going to ask for. I have a confirmation number from our travel agent from when he booked our trip, but I don't have a reservation number. Or is the confirmation number the reservation number?

Just want to know what I need to have in front of me when I call.

Thanks!

They will ask for either your phone # or your confirmation #. Plus certain ones have to be paid for in advance or need a credit card hold for them so you will also need to have a credit card.

If on DDP still need credit card hold but will not need to pay for it.

CRT is one that you need to pay for over the phone. Fantasmic packages need credit card hold.

Thanks.

If I booked through a travel agent, would the reservation be under my phone number or his? The reason I ask is that I tried to look up my reservations to Disney on their website and it wasn't coming up. Well, hopefully the confirmation number will be good enough.

All you need is your phone number. They will be able to look up your reservation from there. I never have my reservation number handy when I call and haven't had any problems booking ADRs. As long as you are 180 days out from your first ADR, you will be fine.;)

Just a note that if you used a travel agent to make your reservations, you won't be able to view them online. You don't need anything but a phone number to make ADRs. Locals and people who stay offsite make ADRs all the time and they don't have reservation numbers. Now if you want to do the 180+10, they may ask you for your confirmation number, but when I did it, they didn't ask.

You actually don't even have to have a reservation yet in order to book your ADRs. We booked all of ours even before we booked our trip. They just asked for our phone number.

Correct you don't need to be staying onsite to book an ADR 180 days out, BUT you do need to be an onsite guest to book 180 +10. Being able to do this is a great savings in terms of time spent on the phone.

If you are from the UK how does it work? We have booked through a British TA (we only have a confirmation number not a Disney reservation number) and how will our telephone number work as Disney won't know that. I'm worried now I won't be able to book 180 days out never mind 180 + 10!

We also booked through a UK travel agent but later did ask them what our Disney reservation number was (thinking we might need it for ADRs) which they were able, after a phone call and some head scratching, to supply. Whether we need it and if so do we have the right number we'll see on 24th March.

One thing I'm still not clear on is that at the 180 day mark we can book ADR's for the first 10 days of our trip but just when can we book for the remaining 11 days (emailed Disney and they said ask the operator when we ring in March). No doubt it'll all get sorted.

Cheers

We rented DVC points for a stay at BCV this October. When I'm calling to make ADR's 180+10 does it really matter that I'm staying on rented points? The DVC member that I rented from made the reservation in our name and gave me a confirmation number for our reservation... will this be enough when making our ADR's? :confused3

I just booked all of my Adr's today for our Trip this coming August. We also book through a Travel agency in Canada. All I was asked was my telephone number, If I was staying at a Disney resort and if I was on the Dining Plan. That was it.
