I always see all these pretty girls dressed up for CRT. We are going to get my dd a Cinderella dress, but what can I do for my DS (he will be almost 5).

What do BOYS wear to CRT??

I've dined at CRT three times and I've never noticed little boys wearing anything special.:confused3 The little boys did get swords and the girls got wands.

I've never seen boys dressed up at CRT although I suppose a knight would be appropriate if they really wanted to dress up too.

my daughter is dressing as Giselle. I'm trying to convince my ds (just turned 4) that he wants to dress as a prince. . . but it is closer to halloween, too.) I wanted to sew a prince edward (YES, I know she doesn't end up with him. but his costume is much cooler)
I would bring shorts and a polo in case he is embarrassed since the other boys won't be dressed up. . .

I have been successful at getting my DS6 to wear a nice hawaiian type shirt. It's been 3 years in a row! He sometimes gives me a slight smirk, but I really think he enjoys dressing up just a bit!

You certainly don't -need- to dress him up. I just like to see him look nice in the photos. It's odd to see his twin sister look so pretty, and he's in a sleeveless shirt or something... but, hey, that's just me!!

Would post a photo.. but it's so late at night, I can't see straight!! I may try tomorrow!

Have fun!!

My son wanted to dress up and wore his costume from Narnia, it was pretty funny when Cinderella got a gushy with him asking if he was her prince ...

My son'r going as Peter form Narnia. It's so cute I fugure why can't boys dress up. He's going to escort his sister to bf so that no boy tries to steal her LOL.:rotfl2:

My youngest wore a jumper with the mice appliqued on it. the oldest wore matching shorts with the mice appliqued on the legs (and one on his shirt). Cinderella really loved them. She asked the boys if they knew their names and pointed Jaq and Gus up in the rafters.

My DS was 5 when we went, and he put a great deal of thought into his costume. (He's knight-crazy, so he had the dress-up clothes already.) He wore a Narnia shirt, a metallic-material cape and helmet made from the same material (so it would pack flat) with red plumes, and a sword. He was the only little boy dressed up (his cousins were going as Belle and Cindy, so he didn't feel awkward), and it paid off big. The princesses thought he was adorable, and we have a great shot of Cindy giving him a smooch on the cheek for his picture. I didn't even mind "having" to buy that one.
Another nice thing: We had everything we needed already, and it cost much less originally than my nieces' princess get-ups. (They looked absolutely precious, of course.)

My DS wore a Peter Pan costume. All the princesses called him Peter and a couple asked him if he flew in for the breakfast. It was fun!

Depending on the time of day you are going, for Brkfst or Lunch, they could wear shorts w/Disney Themed T-shirt. For Dinner, I would suggest shorts and a polo shirt.

You could have your boys dress up (boys don't seem as into the whole dress up thing as girls)...pirates (think Captain Hook), Peter Pan (w/pants...I don't know any boy who want to wear tights!!!), or a prince.

Personally, I think that boys would MUCH prefer shorts and a shirt. :rotfl:

I just try to put him in some of his nicer looking shorts and shirt. :thumbsup2 Mostly just because they are going to take the pic with Cindy and I want him to try to look nice. He always begs me to wear a dress when we go to a Princess meal though. In his sweet litte head, Mommy is just as much a Princess as Cindy and Belle and he thinks that if I put on a dress and pull my hair back, I look like a Princess, too. :flower3: Gotta love little boys and their Mommy love...

I have nothing but boys, so we don't do the "princess" meals--just dinner. When we go, they just wear what they would normally wear. We have never noticed any little boys dressed up special either, although I'm sure there are sometimes--just not the norm.

I'm going to be making a shirt for DS for CRT. Thanks to the wonderful people on the Creative DISigns board, I am now wrestling with three different designs:

1. Has a pic of the princesses and says "I'm a Princess Magnet"
2. Another princess pic and says "Princesses, feel free to kiss me!"
3. Prince Eric dreaming of the princesses and thinking "So many princesses, so little time!"

I'm personally leaning toward #2, seeing as DS is a HUGE flirt and this one would fit his personality perfectly, although #3 would work for that too...what to choose, what to choose... :confused3

Been 4 times and never noticed boys dressed up at all. Not always many girls dressed up either.

Super ideas girls. I think I need to dress up my DS as Prince Charming. But I think I'm going to make it a shorts/short-sleeved outfit for comfort. Now I need to find a pattern.

I'm looking for a Prince Charming Pattern if you know of one, please let me know. :)

Thanks.

I made my DS a "Prince Charming" shirt and he's wearing pale blue gingham shorts w/it. It's his face.

I'll try to post a pic when I take one.

When we went to CRT last year we went during the Pirate & Princess Party and DS wore Mickey Pirate ears and a pirate T-shirt!

I was in the same boat last time we had breakfast at CRT. My girls had the 3 Cinderella dresses and I couldn't leave my son out. His Prince Charming outfit was just as much of a hit as his sisters.
