FINALLY finished reading the WHOLE thread! Great tips!
I didn't hear this one though...
I like to take a picture of my Ds and Dd at the same spot every time we go to WDW. I love seeing how they've grown! I normally try to do this in a spot that gives some perspective on their growth.... ie Minnie or Mickey's mail box.
We love our neck coolers, too! They're tubes of fabric filled with water crystals. When you soak the neck coolers in water, they plump up like a sausage roll (but if they're made right, they really shouldn't plump up that big). Anyway, the water crystals inside have unique properties that hold the temperature of the water for a lot longer than regular water. In other words, it stays cold longer than cold water or it can stay warm longer than warm water. We put our neck coolers in the refrigerator overnight and carry them in collapsible coolers into the park. When we can't stand the heat anymore, we pull them out and--OMgoodness--the relief is amazing. During lunch we put our neck coolers back in our tote and pour ice over them and then they're ready for a second beating from the heat! HTH.
I'm contemplating making these. .(they work great for dogs too!).. if you want to make them you need medium sized water absorbing crystals.. try ebay.
I feel so dumb! I have made these before for a friend who works construction in Las Vegas, but it didn't occur to me to make them for FL. Thanks!![]()
4. Go left, most people go right. Especially on POTC, saves a ton of time!
Mears is sort of the default transportation service from the airport to WDW. If you have a travel agent book your trip, chances are good you will get Mears as part of the package. Usually they have vans or buses at the airport, where they wait to fill up with Disney-bound guests and then take them to their various resorts on WDW property. I used Mears in 1993 after arriving on an evening flight. I remember being packed into a large van with many other people and going to several resorts before being dropped off at POR almost two hours after leaving MCO. It wasn't painful, but then again I was already fuzzy with fatigue and didn't feel rushed to get to WDW and start my day. I knew this arrangement would not work well with my mother in 2002, so I arranged for a town car - and like I said above, it really injected a dose of magic into the vacation, as my mom and the Dkids felt special (none had ever used a livery service before).
Asking for ice water at cs. The water is fine and most places will give you a tall cup with lid and lots of ice. We saved so much money this way. We also brought the flavor packs, but didn't even use them - the water has gotten much better tasking over the years. DH couldn't believe this tip - said it was GREAT!
