What Disney tip are you really glad you listened to?

Get there are rope drop and ride all of the popular rides first. Then you can relax and enjoy the day at a nice pace!

1) Try the Pommes Frites at Cafe Orleans - OMG!!!!! (Get beignets to go with it!)
2) The childcare center near the hub on mainstreet has a cold/filtered water dispenser that you can fill up your water bottles at - just go in and ask!
3) Sit behind the lowered light pillar before fantasmic begins...it raises once the show begins and you get a perfect view!

Good to know. I looked at the gift cards at Disneyland.com and got the impression they only went up to $100. I love the idea of using gift cards instead of cash...last trip I was walking around with $1200 cash. :scared1:

Does anyone know if the gift cards are replaceable if lost/stolen (w/proof of purchase of course)? I plan to call cs & ask, but figured I'd ask here in case anyone knows. This is a great idea instead of bringing cash!

Get there early, early, early for your MM and experience Fantasyland when it's (almost) empty!
Learn how to use Fastpass properly and have a runner.
Take a break in the afternoon for a swim and nap back at the hotel before returning at night

I have 3 kids so packing their outfits into a ziplock bag for each day was perfect for them. I just handed them their bag and they got dressed without the stress of digging and hoping to find the right things.

For myself I brought 2 pairs of shoes. I switch off each day and it makes a world of difference for me.

I gave the kids a budget and they were able to control the, "I want..." pretty well. It really made them think about what they really wanted.

I also love to go left and Jungle Cruise, Indy, Pirates, Haunted Mansion, BTMRR, & Splash all in the morning. I like Space but NOT nearly as much as I LOVE Pirates and Indy.

I agree about the budget for the kids. We told my ds that he could have one item each day so it really made him think about what he wanted and he still really loves the things he got...except maybe the first thing he got since he didn't quite understand the concept yet! We had just gone through the gates and were getting him a stroller and he wanted one of those big pencils. I told him he only got one thing a day and this was the first thing he had seen but he was adament! After that he made wiser choices.
