What Disney Podcasts do you listen to?

I am a fairly new listener, just started downloading this past weekend. Why is Pop called Scopa Towers? How did that nickname come to be?

I also have the official WDW podcast on my list, but they haven't updated in a year.

Thanks for the list everyone. I have 5 currently and may give a few more a try.

I listened to Inside the Magic for about 2 months, but I got out of it and never got back in. I need to do that; it was a good podcast.

I've been with Today in VMK since the beginning... a big "Woot!" to Aengus! :thumbsup2

NETCOT NETCOT NETCOT...That is all I have to say.

Though I will say a bit more. I can't believe that more people have not mentioned Van's show from Netcot.com . I listen to A LOT of these Dis podcasts and I just love Netcot.

Im listening to the WDW Today as I post this, and it is no surprise so many of you are devoted fans. Its a pretty easy listen and a diverse crew.

The Netcot podcast is what brought me to DISboards. Im glad I found it. This is a great thread and I look forward to reading so much more of what you all have to post.

Mike Scopa (of WDW Today) loves POP, so it earned that nickname. He's also got a few other things: Scopa Special (NY strip at Le Cellier) and Dr. Scopa's cure-all Elixir (a Dole Whip float, I believe).

Thanks to all who listen to WDW Today :goodvibes
Thank you, and in one word...Outstanding!

Absolutely ditto that! I usually catch up on the week's episodes on Saturdays when I'm doing the store's accounting, and more than once my boss has stopped in to see what all the random bursts of laughter are about. :rotfl: Thanks again for such a fantastic podcast!!

I got an iPod for Christmas and have feverlishly been trying to catch up on my beloved WDW Today podcast! It is truly outstanding (pun intended)! They have had me laughing out loud countless times, and their trip planning advice is terrific. I now go for hour long walks every week day, not for the exercise, but for the chance to listen to WDW Today. I ordered a WDW Today shirt, so now I'm a walking ad while I exercise. Now if I can only catch up, I'll be in business. A HUGE thank you to Matt, Mike, Mike, and Len for their hard work!

These are all great! I'm new to the Ipod scene, so I am just getting into my Disney podcasts. So far, I've found INside the Magic, WDW today, and DIS, but I think I'll try these others out too....can never have too much Disney! :thumbsup2

I listen to

Mouse Guest Weekly: I gotta love Dan and Eric. It was my first podcast and I love the show.. Especially the intro

Lets Talk about Disney: Mike, Jana, Greg and Cindy are really great. I completley fell for there jokes. I laugh when I listen to it

Meanduring Mouse
Mouse|Tunes: RIP... I was on a bus for school trip and about cried when I heard it was cancilled.

I listen to Inside the Magic and WDW RADIO SHOW exclusively. I adore Ricky Brigante and Skipper Ben (dangit that they're both already married and so am I!!). I also love Lou Mongello and have both of his trivia books (autographed of course). I am beyond thankful that Lou is doing his own thing without Nathan "dead-weight" Rose around anymore...man that guy was a twit. I just wanted to reach into my Ipod and throttle him. I like how Lous brings in a rotating cast of guest hoists to help him out with the show. It keeps perspectives fresh. I have to find out where Jeff Pepper lives...I think it's not far from me!

Ricky totally got my votes for the dream job contest! I hope he made it. We even made a donation to Skipper Ben and got his wedding video. We're planning on doing the same for his DLRP honeymoon video. I get really giddy when any of the podcasters reads an e-mail I sent or plays a voicemail. I try to contribute regularly.

I may check out WDW Today, but it's hard to get my DH to download them for me. He has to do it at work because our home PC is too slow with it's ancient dial-up connection.

So count me in as a devoteds listener to ITM and WDW Radio Show...

Oh and Lou, if you're listening...Jonathan Dichter is kinda lame with the voices. They all sound exactly the same! If you need somebody with some true acting chops and want to mix it up a bit, shoot me an e-mail!

The only issue that I have with Netcot is that I can't listen to it on my MP3 player because he stopped putting out an MP3 feed. So unless I want to listen on my computer, I just simply can't listen. And I don't really have time to sit in front of my computer for an hour, nor go out and buy an Ipod when I have a perfectly fine MP3 player.

So until (or even if) he starts releasing the podcast in MP3 format, I (and probably a lot of other would be listeners) am out of the loop in the Netcot podcast world... :guilty:

Why not download it in iTunes and convert it to MP3 format?

Hmmm... interesting, I don't know why I never thought of that...

I'll give it a shot.

No reason it shouldn't work, and Van is DEFINITELY worth it. He cracks me up.

Dang it! It appears the only way to download the show is from the Itunes store, which I don't have Itunes installed on my computer (and don't plan on installing it, not a big fan of Itunes).

Guess I'll have to pass for now. I already have more than enough podcasts to listen to anyhow

I feel that podcasts are a very nice way to keep in touch with WDW on a daily basis when you are far from the parks, and a long way in between trips!

I personally find WDW Today to be the most interesting of the podcasts. Maybe it is because it is a short, specific topic. I also like the way the guys interact with each other - it's just a lot of fun.

Speaking of Disney Dream Jobs - (like Ricky Brigante is talking about lately..) mine might be to record a show with the guys on WDW today. Being a 6th grade teacher here in St. Louis, but also a frequent WDW visitor might be fun conversation for a show! Hey, Matt, could you make it happen for one show? I'd love it!

Tune into WDW Today

MM:teacher:

Congrats on the Dream Job Winner of the Week! Great show. And for the record, I said Beef Jerky, for my fav road trip muchy before anyone else said it on the show.

Gosh Joe, I would really consider downloading the iTunes program. Not only is it a state-of-the-art program, but you really don't want to miss the Netcot Podcast. Also, the iTunes makes downloading ALL of your favorite podcasts so much quicker and easier.

I can't stress enough: If you are not listening to the Netcot Podcast you are missing out!

"I have no problem with that."
