What dishes do you suggest at Citricos, Le Cellier, and Chefs de France?

I have reservations here for our approaching trip. We will be going to these three restaurants for dinner. What do you suggest for the best dishes? I don't want to end up getting the filet at each meal, so hopefully there are some other things that are great? We are on the dining plan so the more expensive the entree the better!

I don't suggest anything. I haven't got the slightest idea of your tastes or what you like. Based on your criteria, though, I would simply recommend ordering whatever the most expensive entree, dessert, and eligible nonalcoholic beverage are. You might find yourself eating the same things at all three restaurants; you might find yourself eating things you've never tried before; you might even find yourselves expanding your respective palates with new/adventurous foods!

Citricos - Good pick, my fav!
I love the Arancini - cripsy risotto balls
The Goat Cheese Truffle Salad is excellent.
The entrees change sometimes, but I've had:
Swordfish, Sea Bass, Halibut, Chicken, and Steak entrees there. If I had to pick a favorite...hmm I think I'd go with the Halibut, it was seared with some herbs, over a butternut squash risotto and a red wine sauce.
I've had Lemon Cheesecake and Chocolate Banana Torte - both were amazing.

Don't miss their sun-dried tomato bread! (free in the bread basket)

At Le Cellier...the steaks were just ok. The not to be missed items were: Pretzel bread, Cheddar Cheese Soup, the Tomato Stack, and the Maple Creme Brulee!

Chefs de France - Nothing. Don't order anything here. Cancel your ADR. Much better food other places.

Citiricos-my absolute favorite appetizer on property is their gateau of crab. Then I like their pork tenderloin, short rib, and chocolate banana tart. They used to have a berry gratin that was out of this world and was my favorite dessert on property, but I haven't seen it the last couple of times I've been there. I've only had the filet one time there and was not impressed. It was overcooked and tough.

Le Cellier-alot of people like the cheese soup here, but I've always found it way too salty. I do like their tomato stack, duck appetizer, or mussels for appetizers. I love their filet with mushroom risotto and get it almost every time. For their dessert I like their maple creme brulee or chocolate whisky cake. The cake is really too rich and too big of a piece to eat though. They used to have an apple/cranberry cobbler that was served hot in a little skillet with maple ice cream that was really good, but I haven't seen it in several years.

Chefs de France: I always order the Assiette Campagnarde as an appetizer. It has two different kinds of pate, tiny pickles, tiny tomatoes, pieces of bread, and I forget what else. My husband always orders a flatbread or cheese plate and we share both appetizers. Their onion soup is also very good. It's also a good place to try escargot if you've never had them. For entrees we like the duck and short ribs. My husband also liked the steak he's had there a couple of times. For dessert their chocolate cake with raspberries or chocolate cake with rum bananas and coconut ice cream are pretty good. They also used to have a rhubarb/strawberry/blueberry cobbler type thingy that was really good, but I haven't seen it on the menu for awhile. My mom has also had the apple crepes there and liked them.

thanks everyone! i too have heard some mixed reviews of Chefs de France but it's one that I've always wanted to go to so I think I'll keep it.

the desserts sounds GREAT!

I had the mushroom filet mignon with risotto at Le Cellier....and it was to die for! At Chefs I had the tenderloin with black pepper sauce (it's not spicy). It was excellent, but did not quite top that filet mignon!

At Chefs I really enjoy the tomato and goat cheese flatbread and the goat cheese salad. I prefer to do a salad and an appetizer over an entree and dessert.

At Citricos, I love that goat cheese salad (notice a goat cheese trend?) and the tuna carpaccio. I have had several of the entrees here and have been happy enough with them.

Le Cellier is not one of my favorite WDW restaurants and I absolutely hate that cheddar cheese soup and the prized mushroom filet. I do enjoy the tomato stack and the mussels.
