I know the dress code, also know what others have said about seeing there, but I'm honestly torn about what to wear to this. Technically nice shorts are OK per the code, but will I/we feel out of place in them? What have you worn....

dh and i have always worn shorts and sneakers. He used to wear a polo but now prefers the Disney themed camp shirts. I've worn a plain colored cotton tee. I think my mom wore cargo Capris and a Mickey blouse the last time we ate here.

We were there Saturday night. We saw everything from tshirts to dressy. My DH had a collar shirt and white dress shorts (if there is such a thing ) and i had a dressy shirt and shorts. It was hot!

I always wear a collared shirt and nice shorts and usually flip flops. DW usually wears a nice shirt, capris and flip flops. We've never felt under dressed. Technically flip flops are a no no, but we've never had any problem the many times we've eaten there.

You'll fell right in place with nice shorts. :thumbsup2

I wore a long, sleeveless dress that I usually wear to summer weddings that's easy to pack. DH wore a polo shirt and khakis.

To Jiko, I wore a sleeveless shirt and a skirt. DH wore a polo shirt and khaki shorts.

Thanks for the input everyone! This will be our first signature meal with a dress code (ate at brown derby once but as in park that didn't apply) and I'm glad I won't look like a moron for wearing linen shorts (with a nice button down shirt) at dinner! Thanks again!

The nice thing about Narcoossee's is that you can make what you want out of it. When we were there in March for my MIL's 60th birthday we ate around 8pm, I wore a casual dress, my husband wore shorts and a golf shirt, my mother and MIL wore nice pants and tops. But we saw people that were dressed in shorts and much more casual attire. There really is a broad spectrum of appropriate dress for the restaurant. Good luck!

I was worried I was underdressed for our nighttime Narccoossee's dinner, I was wearing capris pants and a colored shirt. On our way in I saw a guy wearing one of the ridiculous Disney hats that had Lightning McQueen on it (not like a ball cap, I mean a hat that had a plush Lightning on top of it). And after that I stopped worrying.

Ok...we are going to Narcoosees on our trip in Nov:woohoo: and I am wearing either capris and a mickey polo/blouse or a fall dress. I will wear my flip flops with either, but they are not those rubber Old Navy flops....they are those Nike gel chshioned flops. They have leather straps and are soooooooo comfy. Here's a pic of them....Does anyone think they'd be inappropriate?:confused3

They are pale pink and white....

I wore capris, with a cotton short sleeve shirt and nice sandals. It was HOT, walking from the main building to Narcoosee's.

When we went in February, I had originally planned to wear a cute little dress (nothing too fancy) and a pair of dressy sandles. Well, it ended up being SO cold, it probably could have snowed. And we had a 9pm ADR, so it was very, very chilly. No way was I wearing a dress and sandles. I decided to wear black leggings with a long sleeved tunic type thing, but I was stuck with my sandles, since I didn't have any warm nice shoes. What I was wearing still wasn't warm enough, and since we had to take the bus there, I wore jeans over my leggings, ugg boots and a jacket. Once we got there, I changed my shoes, but I ended up leaving my jeans on, because lots of people there were dressed in jeans. It was quite the (cold) experience. But worth it, because Narcoossee's is great. :) Anyway, the point of my story is, don't worry about getting too dressed up. As long as you look decent, you'll be fine! :goodvibes

cargo shorts, tennis shoes, and a polo shirt. Felt fine... Enjoy!

We are going next week, so I'll tell you what we will be wearing. I'll have on capri pants and a matching top. DD will have on a pretty sundress. DH will have on Khakis, a polo, and dress shoes.

We were there last week and it was HOT outside. I wore a skort and a nicer Disney polo. DH wore dress shorts and Hawaiian type shirt. We did see all kinds of dress..but I prefer to dress up a tiny bit over the basic shorts and t-shirts.

I wore Khaki shorts with a short sleeve dress shirt and sandals. We're going again during our November trip and will likely wear the same thing.

I wore a dress to Narcoosee's. My DH wore dress shorts. Here is a picture of us on the deck after dinner

We did see people come in in sweats and they didn't say a word to them.

we ran into friends while we were at mk during the week of christmas 2008. we were doing the week long thing and they were only there for the day so they didn't have a change of clothing. we were in khaki type shorts and capri's our friends were in average shorts and t-shirts (nothing offensive of course) and they had no problem both fitting us in and not batting an eye over any of our clothing. when my husband and i went back this july we dressed a little nicer but it was "just because" not because we felt we "had" to.

We have always dressed up when going there. My sisters and I in nice pants or skirts, my dad in nice pants and button-down.

I wore heels and then gave them to my parents before switching to flip-flops for EMH at MK.
