What did you want to be (occupation) when you grew up? (Inspired by CBRorBust's post)

When I was younger I wanted to be a teacher, then in my 10th grade year ~ I went to Europe and decided I was going to be a tour guide and travel around the country. Then my son was born and I decided I wanted to be a Nurse in the NICU and help babies. But for now, I guess I'll just stay here at the phone company.

When I was elementary school age I wanted to be one of Bob Barker's Beauties on "The Price Is Right". I'm 5-ft tall, so that really wasn't going to pan out. Later, I decided I wanted to be an animator for Disney (do the computerized clean-up stuff). Went into computer engineering in college and decided that was the wrong path. When I graduated I wanted to be a TA, but couldn't find any openings. I'm now working PT as a TA, and working my way in to realizing my dream!

When I was around 10, I wanted to be a vet, but I wasn't clever enough for the exams, etc.

Mind you, when we're at an animal park, my DW thinks I'm Rex Harrison (Dr Dolittle) because I'm always trying to communicate with the animals.

Wanted to be a teacher and then as I got older, wanted to be a journalist. I'm neither and not currently in school for anything right now. However, I'm having a blast working at the zoo and there's opportunity for advancement, so I'm very excited about that!

when i was erally young i wanted to be a chef and a firfighter. in a stroke of genius, i decided i would be a chef for firefighters.

around age 10, i started watching the mclaughlin group with my dad. then i decided i wanted to be john mclaughlin because he always got to be "right."

Ever since 1978, I wanted to be a teacher. I am currently in school for this.

Also other careers thoughts were: social worker, chef, secretary, mommy, and set designer/costumer designer.

From as young as I can remember I wanted to be a Doctor (I also wanted twins!!). I was in a Pre-med program untill my first son was born. That was also when I took my second year of organic chem... so I have a BA in English lit, and a very good background in Bio. I am a SAHM with three kids. I am still trying to decide what I want to be when I grow up (and I need to hurry up and decide, because I am not so young anymore!) I may actually try to teach HS biology. That or go into data base admin... or Social work.

I wanted to be a mommy.. I wanted 12 kids..Thank god I only had three.. I loved it while they were young, but the teen years really made me grow old fast.. Now I think I wished I wanted to be a Vet..
Dogs are little and needs some one to take care of them too..Only thing is they dont talk back..
