I feel your pain. I absolutely HATE my new fridge, and I'm also not in love with the new dishwasher. I am >>this close<< to listing them on FB for a fraction of what I paid for them, just to get rid of them. All of the appliances in my home! We did a ton of research, spent a lot of money, and we've had nothing but problems. And I have Maytag and Whirlpool. I finally got tired of it and just ordered myself a set of Speed Queen washer and dryer.
Speed Queen washer and dryer.
We have one of those Kenmore fridges made by LG. The ice maker broke and the water connection leaked another time and damaged my kitchen floor. However, it replaced a Montgomery Wards fridge made by Whirlpool that had the exact same issue. The Independent repairman who fixed the Kenmore said all brands have problems with the ice makers and water lines, so our next fridge won't have an ice maker.]Geez...I'll need a few posts to list them all - lol. But top of mind:
A new car that cost too much, wasn't well made, despite good reviews at the time, and depreciated far too quickly compared to other models - mainly because of the poor reliability. Poor purchase.
A Kenmore branded fridge that I thought was whirpool made and got great reviews by consumer reports and a bunch of other pubs/websites, but was actually LG and had several major defects. Big waste of money. Never ever buy an LG fridge!
I've over-researched everything I've bought - sometimes that research pays off...and other times...

What did you dislike about them?We bought a house in the height of the bubble in 2005. Hate is a strong word, but we VERY MUCH disliked or neighbors. We moved several years later after the bubble burst = but it was a loss we were willing to take.
Not good to live in a place for 40 years that you don’t like.Over the course of 40 plus years, our house renovations, but I still hate the house.
They ran an illegal daycare causing a lot of traffic. I'm not talking about someone keeping a few kids. It was a full fledged school. We tried to talk to them about people who were parking across our driveway (literally) and it just made it worse. A bunch of things happened and the best thing we could do was to move to another neighborhood. We lost about $50000 but it was money well lost lol. I know many lost way more than that in the housing crises. What did you dislike about them?
you're lucky. Google LG fridge reliability - there have been several class action lawsuits - with a couple winning, as the company has a proven track record of hiding major defects and knowingly selling bad units. We’ve had an LG fridge for over 10 years now and have never had any issues with it.
Their reviews crack me up. They will rave about a car one year, then trash the very same year/brand the next. I bought one car after reading their positive reviews - next year it was rated poorly with advice to avoid. I still have the car - it's fine so far, knock on wood.I always read reviews of cars like Consumer Reports does. Their stats on repairs are helpful, but seems that their testers have odd tastes in features on cars. Several cars I have purchased had features they gave bad marks for, and after owning those cars for years, those features all seemed to be very useful.
