What did you pack that you wish you would have left at home?

I always pack too many shirts for myself...it's hard to choose!:rotfl2: for a weeks trip I need 4-5 shirts max..... (we usually go in cooler weather) I do think having an extra pair of footwear is important, if it rains, I like to wear a dry pair the next day....;) I usually bring my walking shoe of choice, plus flip flops (Teva Mush, which also double as excellent walking all day shoes when it's warm)

I recommend not bringing a raincoat instead bring a poncho and reuse it - it takes up much less space

After all my vacations, I have become pretty good with packing, so while I may have some extra items that I don't end up using, I'm grateful to have them just in case, and they don't really take up any extra room. Examples are a Tide to go pen, over the counter medications like Advil or Benedryl, and a few extra pairs of underwear.

Sometimes I may end up with an extra pair of shorts, shoes or a couple of tank tops that I don't end up wearing, but again, I would rather have one clean shirt at the end rather than be short one clean shirt :) I used to bring too many books, but now I just load a few onto my Blackberry Playbook and use that for during the flight or if I ever just hang out by the pool (which happened once for 2 hours at Disney last time while DFi had a nap lol)

For me personally, I dont over pack anything. In fact, I'm lucky I have enough clothes. LOL
I always pack for less days then I am going to be there. Only thing I probably bring that I really dont use is a swimsuit and coverup. Never get in the pools and I just wear a pair of shorts and shirt over the suit if I do go sit at the pool.

I know this trip I will be overpacking for food/supplies. Staying at the Fort and I have to have this cooking gadget or this food or way to many bottle of juice etc... Always think we will eat alot but we dont. I'm trying to do really good on this list this time!!

Always too much of:
- socks (never wear them)
- shoes (only wear my flip flops)
- dresses (5 dresses with 2 nice dinners?)
- jewelry (too lazy to change it out or think about it!)
- food (I never eat as much as I'm expecting to on vacation)

Never enough of:
- underwear (am I the only one who changes in the middle of the day?)
- money for souvenirs (there is never enough!)

My parents have two Owner's Lockers...so we're pretty much set with everything else...at least we don't need to lug the unnecessary things in our suitcases! (More room for souvenirs!)

We will not be packing sunscreen the next time. :beach: I know that sounds crazy but for us it didn't work. We went through so much of it; my husband is very fare skinned, that it was simpler to buy as we went. Plus we kept forgetting the one we already had in the room and having to buy more in the park. :confused3 Also we live in Alaska and the price isn't any cheaper here than in the parks so bringing our own doesn’t save us any money. I brought too many fancy dresses and we both brought to much dark clothing. Once in the FL sunshine we favored our lighter items so much we will take that more into account the next time we pack. On the other side we will each be bringing two swim suites.
