What did you or would you name your cabin, vacation, beach or lake house?

My parents have a place and named it "The Chase Place". However it has been since renamed after almost 30yrs....shoot can't think of it offhand but it is cute.

All the properties have names and some are really cute.:goodvibes

Like property 101 is "101 Dalmatians".

My log cabin in the mountains.....is known as....The Cabin. We are so original.....:lmao: :lmao:

I want to call my house "Cair Paravel" (from Narnia). I'm thinking of getting a plaque or something made up for the front door.

This is for a boat, not a home, but anyway... my parents joked about naming their boat "Happy Fun Boat" ... and it stuck!! So now that's the boat's name. :sunny:

They named their cottage, too, but it's still just referred to as "the cottage."

Our Beach house is "Southern Exposure" we live in the south and thought it sounded cool:cool2:

We vaction in the outer banks and all of the houses have names. I guess it is easier for the rental companies. We have stayed in Aquarius and Always and Forever. This year we'll be in L'Escale.

If I had one to name, it would be Hakuna Matata. I have thought about this before.

My parents have their cabin in the woods it's called "The Ponderosa". Right now it is their main house. Their other house, the one they built when I was a kid is called "The Big House". Nobody lives in The Big House, it's used for family gatherings and such. It's used mostly in the summer as it's the one with the pool.

Growing up my family had what we called "The Old Place" as it was the land first bought by my family in the 1820s. It was mostly used for family gatherings and farming the land. My uncles and their families now have homes on this land.

Great website, thanks!

You should post pics of your garden, I'd love to see it. Please don't tell me you live where you can grow Lilacs, I'll be so jealous, mine is 4 yrs old and only 2 ft high here in GA, but it bloomed and smells wonderful!

I can't grow lilacs at all:sad: . I'm in northern Fl.

My Easter lilies can get about 7 feet tall though.

We just spent a vacation in the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area and stayed in a mountain cabin called "Mountain Whispers." It was beautiful!

I dream of having a cabin in northern Michigan, and I love loons and would do a lot of decorating with them if we had a cabin so the name of the cabin would have to have "Loon" in it somewhere.

We retired to World Golf Village, St.Augustine Florida and although we did not name our home, every morning we wake up; look out the bedroom window at our pool and the lake beyond (with a few small gators) and call it paradise.

My in-laws just moved from St. Augustine...paradise, but you also probably made one heck of a smart investment. They did incredibly well when they sold their house! I miss visiting them there, loved the beach, the Outlet mall and Creekside restaurant.

oh gawd...i own a sign business and we do tons of house signs...not our favorite thing to do b/c the people usually make us jump through hoops for small signs, but that's another thing....anyway a few ones that stick out are..... " baydream believer" "sunrise cottage" ( hardly a cottage btw prob a 2-3 mil $$ home ) "lynnbay villa" "beach dreams" " the beach house "
"the sandbox" etc etc........ and NO i do not have a name for my house..i think it is pretentious to have a name & official sign on the home.....but that's my opinion....
