I see we did a lot of the same things as others on this thread.
I put a slice of cheese on top of my spaghetti, then I'd cover it up with the sauce. The cheese would be all melty.

Ofcourse I'd add parmesan cheese as well!
We had tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwiches or beef stew & hot rolls, especially when it was cold or rainy. My DH thought I was nuts when I told him one day, "This is a good meal for cold/rainy weather.". He had never heard of having special meals for cold/rainy weather!
Oh, we had navy beans on those cold/rainy days too. My dad would soak them over night and put them in the crock pot. The only way I'd eat them is with a ton of ketchup! They were really good that way! DH doesn't like beans at all.
We had cinnamon toast regularly. Loved it! Haven't had it in years. Just put bread on a cookie sheet, put a pat of butter in the center of each slice, sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Heat till butter is melted. Sooo good!
We made cheese toast as part of our breakfast too. (either cheese toast or cinnamon toast) Put the bread on a cookie sheet, a pat of butter and a slice of cheese. Heat until bubbly.
Ketchup on scrambled eggs. I still do it.
I put chips on my sandwiches and fries on my burgers. LOL.
I made chocolate milk and poured it over my cereal. (Sometimes still do.) Tastes great especially on Wheaties.
I would take mom's frosting and eat it with a spoon. Then one day, I saw a container of cookies. Any cookies would do, but vanilla wafers worked pretty well. Ummm. Chocolate frosting and vanilla wafers. Sooo good!
My best friend and I would go over to her house after elementary school, right off the bus, and make "get well potatoes" LOL. From instant! LOL. We were sick of school and a bowl of instant mashed potatoes in front of the TV was just the ticket. I haven't had instant potatoes since then! We thought it was the best thing!
Santa didn't wrap presents for us either growing up. I liked running into the room and seeing everything in all it's glory!

DH had it all wrapped. Never heard of anything different! Ofcourse, I never heard of wrapping Santa's stuff! We wrap now. No biggie.
Great thread, OP!
