Meal planning. Having to decide what to cook each night woke me up really quickly.

Vacationing. My parents never went anywhere so my first vacation was our honeymoon in 1981 to WDW. I was hooked after that but it was very difficult to budget for more vacations while renovating an early 1800’s money pit. We either took a vacation or we got stuff done on the house. That was it. Could never afford both. Needless to say we ended up taking vacations which explains 40+ years later our house still isn’t done.

Not myself, but my son (22) recently told me he now understands why I didn't buy the "good" deli meat when he was a teen. So he now realizes that feeding himself is expensive. lol

Utilities, cars, car insurance, health insurance (its gone up astronomically since they supposedly fixed it), beer - so many other things - honestly it is Mind boggling at how ridiculous costs have become

And the Rent is to damn high
