There were no computers in anyone's home when I was a kid. Computers were huge boxes that spit out cards with holes in them, and I only saw them on TV. We changed into old clothes and sat at the kitchen table to do homework. Then we were allowed to watch TV or go out and play until dinner at 6 p.m, which was when my Dad put the local news on in the living room and listened from the kitchen.

I had a snack, did like 10 mins of homework, and head to the gym for practice from 4-7.

Computer!?!?!?!? I didn't have a computer until 20 years after I graduated from High School.

I had either dance, piano or Brownies/ Girl Guides and did homework.

Got changed into play clothes and went outside or stayed in and watched tv. As I got a little older, some town sports and other activities began. In the fall of 9th grade I started working after school and on Saturdays, and some school team sports also got added into the mix.

Outside to hang out with my friends.... we had a lot of kids in my neighborhood so it was baseball, basketball, football, hockey. Went home when the sun went down for dinner.

if I didn't have an extracurricular activity, I'd either go home and do my homework and chores or go to my parent's business (next door to our house) and work..

Play RPGs, paint minis, read books, explore the city on public transportation or on my bike, etc. I must have ridden my bike at least 10 miles a day in the summer and weekends during the school year. And I took public buses everywhere. I probably covered 40+ miles on any given trip. Lots of freedom in the 80s.

I watched American Bandstand on TV. This was many years ago when they were in Philly and in black and white.
