We loaded up the GC with some ice cold drinks, poles, bait and Bailey, went back to our pond and caught these.

Nice, aren't they !
And I even caught one of them ! :woohoo:
The big one went 18" and the small one 15".

they are now in our ICEBOX,

Well, at least somebody enjoyed the outdoors today. It's done nothing but rain off and on all day here. Even our neighborhood cook-out fizzled out today (not that we planned on going). We ended up going to see Eclipse. About 10 this morning I called the Fort to see if I could snag a site for tonite, but alas, they said there was no availability. Gussie is telling my they lied! I was more than willing to pay their price for a premium site, but nooooooo! I could have been packed, ready, over there & set up in an hour. Those JACKWAGONS!!!

:cool1:

Frank: A true fisherpeeeeple. Be honest the big one, 18 inches ??? My son is a computer tech. He said (not me) that cat is only 17 15/16th inches.

I myself thought the biggin was more like 42 1/2 inches. I to am a fisherpeeeeple.

Back to topic---What did I do today ? I had sumthin to eat, went swimmin, ate some more, back to swimmin, then eatin etc, etc, etc---No fishin, but I did tell DW, I LUV U, now get those steaks on the grille, I'm hungry.

She replied with something unprintable. After 40+ years I get it ! ! ! !

We had a great day.

Church, Wally World and Home Depot in the morning.

Came home and had BLT's and Sweet Tea for lunch.

I then fixed the two blinds in the RV that needed to be restrung. Came out like new.

Worked around the house. Set up that twin bed I had bought off Craigslist way back the weekend I saw you guys (Frank and Denise) at the KK. My DD4 is asleep in it right now.

My sister came over for dinner. Grilled burgers, corn on the cob, had a nice cucumber salad and fresh pineapple.

Went swimming after dinner. Then came back to the house for french press coffee.

Yep, it was a good day.

Enjoyed the start of the Starcraft Club Rally with 127 other families just outside of Buffalo..People from Michigan did a pancake/sausage breakfast yesterday and today Minnesota prepared an omlette breakfast for all who wanted to partake. .So far the weather has been almost picture perfect..50'S/60's at night. 80's and light breeze with low humidity during the day. Lots of fun things on the agenda...

We went to two different church services this morning. The drove home to load the car and change the kids into swimsuits. Then over to sil's house. Lunch was fresh bagels and schmears with French pressed coffee for lunch, then kids in the pool or playing Rock Band on the Wii while the grown-ups visited.

Afternoon snacks - veggies, plus chips and pretzels, with homemade dips - onion and ranch, both made from scratch - no soup mixes. Also, cheese and crackers, grapes, SunDrops, and nuts. More swimming and Wii.

Dinner - burgers and dogs cooked on the grill with homemade rolls. Macaroni salad, cole slaw, broccoli salad, primavera tortellini salad, and pickles. (I forgot the potato salad at home.) By the time we ate all that, we didn't have room for the watermelon, strawberries, blueberries, or even the homemade apple pie. Thank goodness tomorrow is another holiday!

Home at 8:00 to put The Bunny (our 3yo) princess: to bed. After some chores, showers, etc. we went outside to watch the neighbors set off fireworks for an hour. It wasn't much by Disney standards, but not bad for free.

We are now watching an episode of The Greatest American Hero before going to bed very late. :)

I am with Ms Gus here. We partied with rock stars and had a virtual gathering.

At 6:30 last night we were bored silly. Started to jump in Sadie and head over there when (you guessed it) the skies opened up again. Slowly at first, and then whoosh! About 3 hours of whoosh!! We received more than 6" of rain during that whoosh. Probably more. I couldn't say for sure because my rain gauge only holds 6". Here it is 7am, and it's still raining! I might as well go into the office today.

If CRO hadn't lied about not having any sites, we would have been there before the rains started, and I wouldn't have cared. I would have been with Fort Fiends and the world would have been happy & wonderful.
