I bought a star wars book bag for my husband for him to carry to work...he will love it. My sister bought Woody's Round up lego set for 50% off!!! They had Harry Potter legos there too. Those are hard to come by now.
I got the Lego Harry Potter Hagrid's Hut set. It is regular $44.99 at Borders and with the 50% off coupon + 10% off for Border's Rewards Plus members, it was $21.98 after tax.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows audio CD's...... for our Christmas drive to Arizona. Originally 79.95 paid $39.97 ( and I used some old gift cards so I paid $0)
Lego Brickmaster Star Wars for DS. I had been waiting for one of their rare 40% off coupons to buy it. Not a huge purchase, but he'll like it. The line was huge. I had fun counting how many people had their printout in their hand - almost everyone. I thought it was brilliant on Borders' part. It got people into their store that may not normally have gone in the day before Thanksgiving. And I'm sure many people, like me, bought more than the one item.
I bought a little book about rocks and minerals for my 3rd grader who is obsessed with rocks, crystals, etc. It was only $7 regular price, so my savings weren't huge, but I've already bought most of the other stuff I need from Borders. The only other thing I need, which was more expensive, they don't have in store at Borders
I went to Borders yesterday and we have all the legos they had so I didn't even bother to venture out today. They also were out of the one lego book I wanted.
I didn't get the coupon . Was it mailed or emailed? I'm bummed because there was a gift for dd there that I wanted to get her for Christmas...didn't know I could get it for 50% off!
Lego Harry Potter - Hogwarts Express ($96 there) for $45. It was what DS wanted to get for his upcoming birthday with the $$ my Mom sent him. Now the rest can go into his bank account!
