What did you/ are you going to give your hubbie as a gift?

This is a good question. I finally think I've found something as long as I can save the money. Our dogs are pretty much our life, they're our 4 legged kids so I'm going to get paintings done of them. I finally found a vendor that isn't stuffy in style, it's very modern and exactly what I've been looking for. DF is always so creative with his gifts (hello, surprise trip to WDW) so I think I've finally found something that he'll be surprised with and really appreciate.

I wanted to do something really special but what do you buy a man with everything? I have hired a ferrari for a weekend; an expensive pressie but he is worth it :teeth:

I am buying him a session at Richard Petty's Driving Experience, where he can actually drive. Can't remember which package it is. I think it's the Rookie Package.

There's always the traditional cuff links... I know it's a little old-fashioned, but a funky pair of cuff links can be very nice. Also, people notice a nice set of cuff links when they are worn on those special occasions.

I am going to get my DFi a guitar. He has been shopping around for A LONG TIME, but won't actually commit to buying one. So I will commit to one for him! :rotfl2:

Let us know what you end up deciding on!

I bought him a PSP and a game...

alas, him not knowing of the gift-giving thing (and I didn't tell him about it - my mistake?), I did not receive a gift. I wasn't too torn up about it, though, b/c really, after a Disney wedding, do you really need a gift? LOL He felt badly about it, but no worries, you know?

Anyway, if you hope to receive a wedding gift from your FH and he is not wedding message board obsessed like us women...perhaps drop a hint...

Jonette, good luck with finding something! DH had really wanted a PSP but was waiting for the price to drop before buying it...so it made a nice gift. :)

DW gave me Toasting Glasses... I was hoping for special favors... but that is not a very Disney thought.....

:figment:

I am planning on giving my DF a Richard Petty Driving Experience also... only problem is, he's an actor/stuntman and if he ends up doing something similar to that before our wedding, I"ll be stuck...

I did tell him about the whole gift giving thing - and I left it up to him to decide if he wanted to give me something... he is, however, planning our entire honeymoon as a surprise, so that to me, is gift enough.

Since my future hubby (2 weeks and 6 days from now!!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc ) is a musician and has an obsession with Fantasia and the Sorcerer's Apprentice, I almost fainted when I saw the Fantasia music stand in the Disney catalog! Not for every guy, I know... but it suits him so well!

My Fh LOVES star wars and legos...so my original plan was to buy him the lego star destroyer...however, he beat me to it!

SOoo..now I'm planning on getting the one thing off of the registry that he REALLY wanted: the band of Brothers DVD set. I don't know why he is so infatuated with this, but I do want to get him something he loves :)

Also, for our first year anniversary (dating), I made him a coupon booklet--kind of like those you see in the stores, but personalized. I plan on making an updated version of this idea for him as well...and probably an assortment of other little things :)

It's my first day here, and this board has already been helpful! Thank you so much everyone!

:bride: Countdown: 81 days!

I'm getting him a pocket watch. He's wanted one forever and he's been hinting at around Christmas time for years. :)

I just did a card. We were so convinced that we were our gifts that neither of us really felt that doing gifts was important.

I got him a nintendo ds and some games so he would have something to do on the plane. I got him a couple of other things as well but I don't remember what. I also had a gift basket waiting for him in the room.

It depends how much cash I can save. If I can save a nice amount then i am getting him new golf clubs. If not then hopefully I can manage the driving experience.

... so i got him a FLASK that belonged to the silent movie actor Harold Lloyd. I got it on ebay but had to register under a friend's name so he wouldn't see it in our ebay account :)

I went with something practical....an iPod nano :) I had it engraved with our wedding date and a little message too. My husband gave me a bracelet that has both of our birthstones in it....hard to describe but it was perfect :)

My husband loves penguins!

My Husband loves penguins too!

I have to say he doesn't really have a 'thing' for anything, so we didn't buy each other gifts.

Snow white; what a brilliant idea - my fiance would love an ipod nano, i like the idea of engraving it with a message; i dont know whether or not he will find it a bit corny though! I think it is a lovely idea :thumbsup2
