I really, really want to be there one day for the rope drop. One time I went thinking DL opened at a certain time and yesterday we went thinking that we made it in plenty of time and it was EE so we missed it. So what days are EE and what time do they open the gates on non EE days?

EE is on Mon, Tues, Thurs and Saturday. You can check official park opening hours on disneyland.com. EE is always 1 hour prior to official park opening.

This time of year, the park opens at 8 am on Sat and Sun and 10 am on weekdays.

So I can go on a Sunday. What time do the gates actually open and what time do you suggest I get there to see the rope drop?

Is Disney changing EE days for 2008? When?

Many thanks to this GREAT BOARD!!!!

It is not confirmed, but there have been Rumors that the EE days may be changed (Tuesday to Wednesday I think, but I'm not positive). However, for the time being, EE still is M, T, Th, Sa. If the EE days were to change you would see it all over these boards.

I called again last week, and the CM at first said EE is Tues, Thus, Sat, Mon. But when I asked her to check MY dates of 2/1-2/9, she said they were Tues, Thus, Sat, Sun. Same info a CM gave me last month.
Anyone notice that on the DL website March was available on the calendar and then it wasn't? Still waiting for the entertainment info for Feb!
Hopefully by Dec 1.

Thanks for the link DangerMouse. So I can go Monday because even though they have early entry they will open the gates for rope drop at 10, right?

Of course you can go. EE doesn't mean they get the whole park to themselves all day. One other thing to consider is that (if you have a multiple day ticket), if DL opens at 10, but is an EE day there will already be people inside. HOwever, DCA also opens at 10, so you can be the first in that park if you want.

Yes, you'll get to experience rope drop on Monday, but IMHO it is highly overrated. Especially when there are already guests in FL and TL because of EE. It's just another line to wait in until the park opens for you.

Just who qualifies for EE? Does Cndy Cane Inn count or only the 3 DL hotels?
