Hi all

As it's now less than 5 weeks before we visit :yay: we are trying to put an itinerary together.

Now being a "Brit" I/we don't fully understand what you mean by "block out days" :confused3

We have already purchased a 5 day pass so I guess that's more than enough days to see most attractions, shows etc, however we don't want to be wasting lots of time by queueing.

Can someone explain what is meant by Block Out Days?

Additionally, if anyone has any tips for WOC, attractions, parades etc we would be very grateful (me, DH & DS14)

Thank you :worship:

I will tell you about blockout days if you will tell us if there is such a thing as a cheshire cat... ;)

DLR has four kinds of Annual Pass holders. Premium is most expensive and you can use it any day of the year. Deluxe (I have this) is next most expensive and it has some days (mostly Saturdays) you cannot use it - called blockout days or blackout days - these terms are used synonymously.

Those living in Southern California have two other more restrictive pass options (So Cal and So Cal Select) which have lots more blockout days but are much cheaper. Typically these two are blocked out all summer from about late June to late August.

When folks around here talk about AP blockouts they are generally talking about the last two categories. The reason is that they have the lengthy blockout in summer and other holidays and, because they are only held by So Cal residents who can drive to DLR and do day trips, they have a different touring pattern than other guests.
