What day of the week does your Disney trip usually start on?

When I was younger and in school, my mom and I would go on a 4-day weekend Disney trip every President's Day and Columbus Day because I would only miss one day of school. So my trips to WDW always started on a Friday. And that was how it was for the longest time. Then once I got out of school I was able to choose any day of the week to go but for some reason my last few trips have always started on a Sunday, which I actually love because it is so nice to start off your week with Disney.

Do you have a day of the week that you tend to begin your Disney trip? Is it on purpose or does it just randomly happen that way?

It varies from trip to trip.
Example: Late August 2018 was Wednesday to Sunday, December 2018 was Friday to Tuesday, my upcoming trip in July 2019 is a Monday to Friday.

Sunday. And yes it's done on purpose. Because we are going in June this year, I can't use Saturday as a travel day. Judaism is my faith and the Saturday holy day is long those months. Doesn't end till after 8. I can't travel till a certain time and that puts me in the road too late. Simply, Friday and Saturday are not times we are on the road traveling for long trips. Because of that, Sunday is always our start day in Disney. I did decide this year to stay a day longer.....five instead of four, so that will be nice.

2016,17 and 18 we went in September and our start day was Thursday (arrival day) and we stayed 11 days so we got 2 weekends leaving on the following Sunday. We also did Christmas week 2018 we arrived on Saturday the 22nd and left on Friday the 28th. For our upcoming trip next month we will arrive on a Saturday and leave the next Sunday. Our December trip we will arrive on Saturday and leave on the next Saturday. If I had it my way, we would go again in September and arrive on Sunday, do the parks Monday through Friday, take 2 resort days then do the weekdays the next week. But we cannot take the kids out of school anymore since they are getting older so we will have to stick to holidays which means arriving on a Saturday.

I'm not too particular on day of the week but I have a lot of vacation time. Our last few trips started on Friday because that is my husbands 1st day off.

We usually travel on Saturday and start our vacation then. If flights are better Friday or Sunday, we’ll leave a day earlier or later.

I live in Kansas City so its a long drive. We leave early about 05:00 hours and drive to Daytona Beach so the girls can get a beach day in. We get to Daytona Beach early on Saturday and always have rooms reserved. Sunday morning after breakfast at Crabby Joe's we drive to Orlando to hit Disney discount stores and check in that afternoon. The girls really stretch their money at those stores and it cuts down on the in oark shopping.
