I voted for Friday & Saturday, but this upcoming trip we will be arriving on a Monday night! But usually we either come in on a Friday night or Saturday morning.

Interesting results despite the minimal response so far. We've been told by CMs at WDW that Sunday is the busiest check-in and check-out day. It will be interesting to see if our community holds true to the norm.

huh. really? someone just voted for Tue, Wed, + Thurs all together. are you retired or a student? ;) curious...

(actually i guess Thurs is not that unusual, i believe i flew in on Thurs once. )

As I have only gone once, and am planning a trip in May, I voted for both of those dates, we flew out on Saturday for my last trip, this trip was going to be Friday, but I would have been there for the beginning of Memorial Day weekend, so I changed it to Tuesday, (I am a student, but won't be then, I graduate!!!)

What time do most people fly in? Early morning to get a full day in or later so you don't have to be at the airport before dawn?

We have flown in on both Sat and Sun and the Sun checkin actually went more smooth and seemed less crowded. However, that was back in 1996. Next year we're flying in on Sat and leaving on Sat. I wanted to leave on Sun to have that 1 extra day but my husband said he needed a day of rest from WDW before going back to work! Bummer. We are going to try to fly in the morning so we at least have some part of the day. I feel your whole day is wasted if you leave later.

We always fly on a Wednesday have tried other days but have gone bact to Wednesdays!

The past several years we have flown in on a Saturday and out on a Sunday, or in on Friday, and out on Saturday.

This year will be different. Just booked our flights, and we are flying out on a Thursday, and back on a Friday. The price was better and more convenient for our schedule. :):D:)

We did the Thursday-Friday thing in July. :) We usually do Friday-Saturday. But, we've done Saturday-Saturday, Wednesday-Monday, and Thursday-Monday before, too. :)

Cali,
How is Thursday/Friday at MCO in July? We have an early AM flight on the 3rd, and a mid morning flight home on the 11th. We are use to the terminal being pretty empty on the weekends. But, this will be the day before the holiday. (Funny, but the flights on July 2 were $35 more.) I just booked the fares last night, and I'm hoping that it won't be crazy busy. :):D:)

Our flight down had some empty seats (July 4, 8AM flight). I had one of them beside me, and other seats were empty throughout the plane (and, 23 first class seats were empty - the MEAN lady at the gate wouldn't let anyone upgrade, I tried and was given some rude comment that I can't even remember). Coming back (1PM on the 12th), I think the flight was pretty much full. There weren't waits or anything at the airport, everyone flowed pretty much freely where they had to go.

hmm... so it looks like an overwhelming majority fly in on Saturday. i wonder, maybe people stay off-site the first night before checking in the next morning (Sun)?

also... this trip we're flying in on Sat, and we're renting a car... so, since we're arriving in the afternoon... does this mean all the cars will be gone?!?! we'll be stuck with the leftovers... it looks like. :(

Coming from the west coast we always fly in on Saturday arriving in the late evening basically making Saturday a "travel only" day, but in April we are planning on flying on Friday to make the most of Saturday. I think this makes sense for us but according to your survey perhaps Sunday would be better and we could take Monday after as a vacation day to make up. Hmmmm...

Do so much flying back and forth. Days vary. This week early Tues AM redeye 1250 arr just after 8am 1:15 drive to home away from home.DW and DD follow on Thursday redeye.

I am sure the check in rate is effected by families driving. We fly in late on Friday but arrive on Sunday when driving.

We usually fly in on Friday. If we take a late flight, then we stay offsite for one night

That's our plan, too, JulesMom. We have the first flight out **early** Friday. That will get us into MCO before noon. Since DH & I are staying off site the first night, we plan to use Friday to do our grocery stop, have a leisurely dinner somewhere nice, and get some rest before checking into the Poly Saturday am. :smooth: If there is time, we might go see a local attraction, like Ripley's or play a couple of rounds of miniature golf.
