What day is a better check in day? Sat or Sun?

We are booked right now to go Sunday Sept 9th. We will arrive about 9am in hopes of getting the room we have requested at POR.

However now we are wondering if Saturday would be a better check in day to get the room we want?

Anyone have any thoughts on this?
