I’m one week out from online check in! My mom and I would like to do brunch and dinner at Palo. We are also hoping to do the excursion on Tracy Arm day. For those of you who have cruised Alaska with DCL, what do you recommend? For dinner I’ve heard day 3 or Frozen night but was looking for more opinions. Will be sailing with my 13 and 14-year olds but they’re old enough to find something to do while my mom and I enjoy Palo.

We did dinner in Palo on our last night of the cruise when we sailed Alaska. I think that is a great time to do Palo as it provided a wonderful and relaxing capstone to our Alaska adventure. The "until we meet again" menu of the main dining room isn't my favorite anyway. When you have Palo on the last night, you need to plan to give your tip envelopes to your usual servers the night before. It's always best to tell your MDR servers of any plans for Palo, so they won't be surprised when you don't show up.

We really like Mlad as a Server in Palo. We have sailed the Wonder 4 times and always do Palo. He has been our server often and he is great (most are though). They keep track.

Thanks, all! Midnight tomorrow I get to check in! I’m thinking of dinner on Frozen night (night 4) and brunch on either Tracy arm day or the last sea day.

I’m okay doing the 3pm excursion on Tracy Arm day but my ds is on the fence about going on the excursion and I think I’d feel guilty leaving him for brunch and the excursion on the same day. If I can convince him to go I think my preference would be to do brunch around noon on Tracy Arm day and then do the 3pm excursion.

I’m a master at overthinking everything!

This is a great idea!
