What day are you checking in if you're going for Thanksgiving & where are you staying

Disneygirl29 -- we will be at POFQ Nov 23-26 moving over to YC on the 26th through Dec 3rd. Perhaps we will run into you? We arrive 3:30pm on Thanksgiving Day and then are hopping over to YC Galley for thanksgiving dinner as Florida is 2 hours ahead of us ... so timing is perfect.

We have stayed at POFQ at least once a year since it opened. We really like it. I used to say I would never move. Alas, in my older age, I am enjoying the queen beds at some of the deluxe hotels and a few of the 'extras' they have to offer such as concierge ..... not that my pocketbook has grown with my desire for bigger, etc. Anyways, I'm sure you will like POFQ.

That is neat that these kids are dancing. Perhaps we will have to wonder over there...do you know what time?

As mentioned b4 we will be at the contemporary.. I was wondering if Christmas Decorations would be up yet? I hope so. Does anyone know??

We were there last year during Thanksgiving and the decorations were up. Have a walk to the MK for me. We loved the walk in the morning, practically had the walkway to ourselves and got to see bunnies. :cool1:

Thanks,
we saw a special on WDW at Christmas, so we will def try to squeeze in time to go see Wilderness Lodge and GF.

Oh yea,

Should we pack shorts and short sleeve shirts. I don't know what the weather is like in November. I'll just wear whatever my wife packs for me.

Weather can be all over the board. We haver been there and worn shorts and short sleeve shirts during day and light pants/long sleeve in evening. We have also been there and had to put on our long underwear, gloves, hats and heavy jackets as the windchill dropped it down below freezing. Last year it was very pleasant and we didn't pull out anything heavier than a sweatshirt. Best thing to do is watch the weather as they give you a 10 days out forecast. That said, at WDW, when it gets really cold -- you can't even buy a pair of mittens as they fly off the shelves --- so we always bring our cold stuff with us and plan to dress in layers.

We will be there November 24th-26th at POR, then switching on the 26th - December 2nd at the BC, or maybe (crossing my fingers) if the good CM discount comes out, at the Grand Floridian -- it is almost here!! Can't Wait!! :cool1: :Pinkbounc  :cheer2:

Ditto!! Except we are going to miss Thanksgiving Dinner as our plane gets in to late- oh well !!!

Is anyone else decorating for Christmas before they leave?? Our house will be decorated inside and out by 11/19. Our neighbors will be like... it's not even Thanksgiving yet and they've got there Christmas stuff out!! DW wants our stuff up before we leave though. Anyone else decorating from Christmas b4 their trip?

Steven

I am also planning on having my trees up before Nov 16th. The operative word is "planning"! I hope I can get everything done, so that when we return on the 26th we can totally enjoy the Christmas season. I know when we return we will be completely filled with the Christmas spririt! I am so excited we will be at WDW in 15 days (not counting today)!!!!!!!!!

If I can talk DH into getting down the Christmas decorations I will have the house decorated before we leave on the 23rd. Chances of that including the tree are slim to none but I am hoping that is all that is left when we return on Dec 3rd. So, I'm in on the decorating in November ...... providing my prince charming is willing ...

I am going to try to squeeze it in before we leave. :confused3 Of course I have to convince DH that it would be a great idea. I only have 3 more weekends to do it and two of those weekends are filled with soccer games. If we don't I am not sure I will have much time when we return.
