What day are you checking in if you're going for Thanksgiving & where are you staying

Hi, we are also from good ole Baton Rouge!! It will be first trip to disney for my 2 yr old! I know she won't remember the trip but i can't wait to see her enjoying Cinderella's royal table! We are doing a girls only trip (me, 10yr old and 2yr DD, mom, sis, 2yr old niece, aunt) while the men go to arkansas VS LSU game!! Can't wait!
:wizard:

We (dd's, ages 9 and 6, and I) have been about 8 times in the last four years, but this will be dh's first "real" Disney vacation with us ( he came for 3 nights about two years ago). I love "girl" trips! We can do princess stuff till we just can't take anymore!!!!!!! I have converted several friends to the "Disney" way of life, so we travel together alot without our hubbys. I am getting so excited! I am excited just to be going to WDW, but to go at the start of the Holidays is extra special! I just wanted to say that you may be suprised at what your daughter may remember. My younger daughter was 2 when she went for the first time and she remembers somethings and when she sees the pictures she recalls even more! Well, I have printed out my mousekeeping envelopes and have started gathering all my paperwork to put in my backpack. I am going to start packing our toiletries (that we don't use everyday) tomorrow. I am so glad I have the DIS, that way my non-Disney friends don't think I am neurotic!!!!!!!

I so agree -- my non-Disney friends just don't get it -- they can't figure out why we keep going back -- and talking about it all year -- they just don't understand!

It is funny... more and more of my friends are now "converts". I have been a "Disney Nut" since childhood, so my family is used to my "addiction". My friends are finally realizing how wonderful a trip to the House of Mouse can be. WDW may not be a cheap vacation, but it is worth every penny! I know that we will always have an awsome trip. I can't always say that about our other vacations to the beach or the mountains. The magic of Disney always comes through!

We're staying offsite (it really works better for us these days) and having experienced two holidays last year with WDW, we're spending turkey day offsite too...planning to go minigolfing :) Although if the parks aren't insane we might go ahead in for a while. But this is also our third "big" trip in one year and we're planning on really taking in the ambiance, seeing decorations, making the most of the time without rushing to the lines.

peace
figgy

edit: We also have already started to pack...and make MORE matching T-shirts....

We will be there 11/22-11-29 staying at POFQ (originally at Swan, but opted for meal plan at last minute and changed to FQ (only thing left with discount code)). We are eating at The Coral Reef :thumbsup2 at Epcot! Again much was booked up ;) ... I am booking my 2007 trip as soon as we get back, based on how we like th FQ... and also have calender marked for booking dining reservations for next year (180 days out) :wizard: !

I am still moving some dining reservations around... trying to get better times.. but it is hard with 9 people ;) !

I get the same thing at work, however there are 3 Disney Nuts there so we are always talking about it and I just try to ignore the non-Disney people who always seem to have a comment, funny I don't ever comment on their choice of vacation spots

11/19-11/25 and we're staying at the Dolphin. I can't wait!!!!!!!!

Well, actually, our reservation is from the 22nd to the 29th but our plane won't be arriving at MCO until after midnight :sad2: We had planned to arrive earlier in the evening but the airline delayed the time of our flight. We'll be having our Thanksgiving dinner at Boma on the 23rd.

This will be my first WDW trip with my DD4 3/4 (the 3/4 is very important to her ;) ) and we're going with good friends of ours (another single mom and her DD5). I've been to WDW several times in the past but my DD and our friends have never gone before....and this will be my first time staying on-site and celebrating a holiday at WDW so I'm really excited and looking forward to the trip. :yay:

Just curious....does anyone know of any Thankgiving-themed Disney clip art online? I'm thinking of putting a Happy Thanksgiving sign on our door and would really like to have some Disney characters on the sign but I haven't found any Disney Thanksgiving-themed clip art to use yet.

HLDisney (oh, one more first...this is my first post on the Disboards :wave2: )

What is your daughter dancing for?

Disneygirl29: My daughter is dancing for the Disney Magic Music Days at the stadium in Future World on Sunday. It is very exciting. They also have a workshop that they do at Epcot called Disney Dancin. I haven't decided what I am decorating my window with yet.

Are you decorating your window? Can't wait, I have been looking forward to this for soooo looong!!

That sounds so neat for your DD!

I am going to do something on my window! Just to be festive!

We will be at POR. Check in Monday Nov 20 to Nov 26th.
Our Thanksgiving dinner will be celebrated on Wednesday night at LTT.

On Thanksgiving, we plan on spending the day at MGM, watch the parade, then head over to Boardwalk and catch the 2nd football game that day which is Tampa vs Dallas.

After that we plan to head back to POR and enjoy Piano Man Bob for the evening. This will be our 4th Thanksgiving night with Bob. He starts his XMAS music this night and its a blast. :Pinkbounc

Like last year we check out Thanksgiving day and have a flight out in late afternoon. Little cheaper and lot easier to get a flight. Plus I recall last year maybe plane half way filled up. great time of year plus many places have Christmas decoration up
