What country(s) are your Ancestors from?

I'm not sure of all of them, but I do know I have Cherokee Indian ancestors, and I believe my mom's family name is English.

MY mother's family is German, Dutch & Irish.My father's family is mostly English. My paternal grandmother was a McCoy...as in Hatfields & McCoys....and you can also find a bit of Indian on my Father's side.

Germany... we were just talking about this during dinner tonight. Learned a new thing about my grandma tonight, when she started 1st grade, she only spoke german. But she learned English so fast that she was bumped up a grade after 1st. My dad says she was soo smart, and that it was a shame she didn't go to college (her family didn't have enough money)

My grandfather was left on the steps of a convent in Italy when he was an infant-it was Christmas time, so the nuns who found him gave him the first name of the mayor of the city in Italy where he was found, and the last name came from a very well known Christmas hymn
