What couldn't you stand to see, eat or smell while you were pregnant?

The smell of chicken and bacon frying. I could eat both of them if I didn't have to smell them being cooked.

I couldn't stand seeing the veins that are in meat- especially chicken. I was eating at Chick-fil-A one day and saw part of a vein sticking out of my sandwich...:crazy2: Had never bothered me before but made me SICK while I was pregnant. It still kind of grosses me out 14 years later but at least I don't lose my lunch now. :D

Hot dogs. Oh my goodness, just the smell of a hot dog cooking about made me puke.

I actually didn't have an aversion to any smells instead I just devloped a liking for really strange scents. The worst one (well best one at the time) was the smell of SKUNK!!! Ewww!

I actually was driving to work one morning with the window down and there was a dead skunk by the side of the road. I took one sniff and then another and another.... It smelled GOOD! Everytime I drove by that spot for a few days I rolled down the window to take a sniff.

Thankfully that went away after I had DS.

For me, it was a drink . . .

After having a Gluclose test, I could not drink any cola at all the rest of my pregnancy.

I can still remember the room temperature thick cola tasting nasty stuff . . .UGH!!

The smell of just about any cleaning product just about did me in when I was pregnant. Ironically, once DH started doing the floors, he never stopped. He still does them and DD is now 9. :D

popcorn. Oh, I love popcorn but during both pregnancies, I couldn't stand the smell or taste. Fortunately, I out grew that and now enjoy my popcorn, a little too much now!:p

With my first it was blue cheese dressing and Chinese food. I had a bad experience with a salad at lunch one day and I was having some pregnancy problems o na day I had Chinee food, so after those incidents, I didnt want to be near either.

During my second it was the smell of BBQ. Of course the beginning of my pregnancy whenit was really bad was in June-July, so everyone was BBQing then.

I could not handle anything pork, especially bacon. It would make me sick for both pregnancies. Before and after I was fine, but oh man, no pork for 9 months. Actually that was what made me think I was pregnant the second time.

KETCHUP potato chips!! :blech:

The guy at the desk next to me when I was PG with Cameron ate them everyday at lunch and it made me so sick!! I had to leave the room while he finished. Actually Ketchup of any kind put me over the edge, even today, while I can stand it on a few things but most of the time ewwww

During my first pregnancy, almost everything made me sick, but broccoli was the worst. I love broccoli, and I could not even stand to see a picture of it let alone eat it.
During the second pregnancy, Papa John's garlic butter sauce made me deathly ill, I still cannot stand it to this day whereas I eventually got over the broccoli thing.

I never had this problem..........guess I was lucky:D

Scallops for me...I couldn't even stand to be in the same room with anyone who was eating them...it was weird too because before I was pregnant, I loved them and I still do now, but not while pregnant...yikes!

The smell of corn cooking. This is how I knew I was pregnant the second time before I really knew. I couldn't stomach apple juice either.

There was a commercial for TACO flavored Ranch Dressing. Everytime I saw this commerical I got sick.

Brushing my teeth would make me gag just like Jessica.

The first 3-4 months of my pregnancy I couldn't go near the deli or meat section in a supermarket. Now if someone cooked chicken, steak, etc. I could eat it, I just couldn't be around it when it was raw.

My friend had her first child 4 years ago and she would throw up if she saw chicken on a bone. She still has trouble being aournd any type of chicken or wings on the bone. It stuck with her from some reason so now all the meat they eat is boneless. :D

It's amazing how some of these show up repeatedly. Mine were cooking ground beef (I could also eat it) and brushing my teeth. was a problem too. I couldn't bend to spit or I was a goner! Thank God for Dixie Cups.

My first pregnancy, nothing bothered me. My second one, tuna fish and hot dogs turned my stomach.
