Okay - I am officially the WORST mom. My ds just had his 4th birthday and we didn't get him anything! Isn't that horrible? My dd will be turning 1 in August. I guess I am just wondering if there are any cool things I can wait and buy them in WDW as very late birthday presents. I'm already going to be adding to the potato head collection, but what else is there?

DS LOVES anything dealing with cars and signs (stop, yield, firetruck, etc). He enjoyed the movie Cars so I am hoping WDW will have some cool stuff dealing with that for him.

DD is sooo little I'm just looking for fun girly toddler toys available at WDW, any recommendations?

:thanks:

I'm subscribing because I have been wondering the same thing myself. Specifically, what kind of toys are EXCLUSIVE to Disney? (such as games, dolls, etc.)

Thanks! That's exactly what I meant but didn't add to my ramblings...

Anyone know???

They also have many Games (life, monopoly, chess ) Disney theamed.

Trust me they have plenty to buy both toys and cloths wise.

Look at my DD's TINK ROOM in my sig most came from Dl ,TDS and WDW

my girls are older but they got Disney themed My Little Pony stuff. We also got Muppets Monopoly. The Game Trouble with a Stitch theme (stitch is in the popping Bubble place) they got other "disney" stuff bit nothing else that was a disney version of a different toy (although they di have Princess Polly Pocket like toys from target)

edited to add they did get Disney candyland too

My girls loved the ponies at DTD. They were well worth the money. They played at the room with them even. The maids set them up one day.
I bet a cute disney stuffed baby would be great. DS will love more tater pieces and hopefully CARS stuff. Have fun shopping...spending money I know DH will love LOL.......Your SIL!!!! :lmao: :thumbsup2  :woohoo:

My son, who's 5, loved the matchbox-type cars that were themed after characters. They were about $4 apiece. We got the Buzz Lightyear car, the Zurg car, a Monorail version, and the Disney Transport bus which was really neat. We also got him a 3-pack of the Disney transportation buses - Magical Express, Disney Transport, Disney Cruise Line. They are about 3-4 inches long and 1 inch tall. Really cute! We found all of these at our resort gift shop.

What a GREAT room! Your DD is so lucky!

These will definitely be up DS's alley! I will have to keep my eyes open for them. THANKS!

1. I bought a $4.99 Mr. Potato Head before we left and dd enjoyed buying the Disney parts. Now our Mr. Potato has a Mickey Ice Cream bar, Mickey ears, etc. We plan to buy more parts in September!

2. Dd also enjoys the small plastic character kits you can buy in MK. They have boxes based on Disney shows and movies.

3. We always leave with one spinner/light up toy. The Buzz Lightyear spinner was the most popular followed by a light up wand dh found at Fantasmic.

Of all the things we have bought there over the years, the most played with would have to be the Mr. Potato Head/parts. They never seem to tire of it! Be sure to pack the potato real good with little parts, then stuff the potato into the box and pack around it. You can end up with a pretty good assortment that way.

They also have a lincoln log set of Wilderness Lodge that I always thought looked cool but the kids were never interested in it :confused3 .

My DS loved the shop at the end of Test Track. It had alot of cars. He ended up buying a kit that had the car, Mickey, Goofy and alot of car parts( gas can and such) Plus they have a test track matchbox sort of car.

My friend went to WDW last December, she brought home a Pirate Ship with all of the traditional Disney characters. Her son LOVES this toy. It has lots of cools little pieces.

Another friend got her dd Cinderella's Castle. It has all of the princesses and princes. There is a carriage, and other little pieces. Really cute. I'm thinking of getting this for my dd as a surprise. My friend said this was around $75. and she had it shipped home.

Good luck shopping. CAN"T wait to get there so I can shop too..... :cool1:

My daughter has that castle and we play with it everyday, its one of her favorite toys. I actually lucked out and bought it at a yard sale for $7, all the accessories were still in there original boxes!

We got some parts on our last trip, and we definitely plan to add to the collection! DS will drag these out every once in awhile, but then he plays with them for hours! I think DD will enjoy the "larger" parts for now, and if her brother doesn't lose them all - will play with them later!

Thanks for all the good advice! I'm going to keep my eyes out for cars (DS's fav)...and I might even par-take in some of the LIttle Pony stuff to be put away for later!

THANK YOU! :teeth:

We got the monorail train set with niece and nephew (had to get two)...they love it...now every time we hit the village we can buy them a piece...
Also last time we when they had more potato parts...love those things...if you already have the potato they will let you just fill the box with parts...(just pack the spud because the will want to play with it ASAP)

about the tater parts.

DS got a Mr Tater for his birthday, I never even let him open it as I am saving it for our drive down.

anyhow, how much is the tater parts box and where does one buy these

also need toy/souvie suggestions for my 1 year old!
