What company do you use to make your reservations with?

I seem to be having a bit of trouble with my guy from Mouse Ear Vacations. I gave him my credit card number over the phone 3 days ago and I still have not gotten confirmation from him that our resort is booked. We've exchanged voicemails and emails. He tells me that we are all set, but I have not received any confirmation of our reservation. Do the travel agents from this company work other jobs? It just seems like it's dragging on with this guy trying to get any information from him. :confused3 Thankfully, it's only a room reservation, and not the entire trip! What company did you use, and did you have a positive experience?

Thanks!

I called CRO at WDW and dealt directly with them. It did take 2 weeks to get my confirmation. I am going to send you over to the Resort Code boards. Hopefully you will get more replies.

I go directly through Disney on the telephone. I reserve room-only and do all of the promotional offer hunting myself. I trust nobody else to do this for me as they don't have MY best interests in mind; no matter how well a company may have treated you in the past or how many great reviews they may have had. I'm just programmed this way, so i'm sure others will have a different opinion based on their experiences with a travel broker/agent.

Having said this, had i used a 3rd party to book my reservation, i would not have gotten the infamous 40% off code for my upcoming trip to AKL.

I usually do the planning myself, but I'm using Dreams Unlimited for my January trip. I have some family issues that are taking up a lot of my time, so I'm not able to keep as on top of the codes as I usually would. So far, the experience has been very positive. I received an email with my Disney confirmation number the day we made the reservation, they are assisting me by making ADR's, and have been very prompt when it comes to email replies to my questions. I'm not a very high maintenance customer, so that may make a difference.

I prefer to do it myself, but it's nice to have someone available when I can't.

We are also using Dreams Unlimited and everything has been EXCELLENT! For our last trip we used AAA and it was the most worst experince I have ever had. With all the great things I had read on the DIS about Dreams Unlimited I wanted to try them this time for our trip.

I do all the planning myself but book through my favorite Travel agency since it doesn't cost me any more than disney... The Magic For Less Travel

I work with Kevin at DU. he makes it all so easy and is so nice to deal with.

Last time, we rented DVC, so I did it myself. Previous times I've worked directly with Disney reservations. It's worked fine, but I've read so many good things about Dreams Unlimited, that I may give them a try for next time.

Used to do it all by myself, but the agents (Liz) at Dream Come True Vacations got me better pricing, and book you ADR's for you. Really, really easy. :cool1:

Another vote for "The Magic For Less" travel. Our TA (Emily) has been wonderful and always manages to promptly get us the best discounts & all of our ADR requests too. Much nicer than having to spend my own time on the phone calling Disney repeatedly to handle it all myself.

Beaches and Dreams Travel! What a great job they do. Got every ADR I requested (even CRT breakfast the day I wanted and CG for Wishes viewing) along with making my Segway Tour, Illuminiations Cruise, Cirque tickets center section first row of the cheap seats (they were GREAT, better then the ones we had in the fron row) and ordering our P & PP tickets. The were also able to get us a great discount on our room. We started out at CSR but for 12.00 less for the 4 nights we were able to upgrade to AKL. Then because fo the construction and the agent being proactive we got the Poly for that same price! Was also given a wonderful itinerary along with park touring tips. Could not have been happier.

I one for doing it myself also. I book wtih CRO and hunt on www.mousesavers.com for the best codes. I have always gotten GREAT deals. Last year we spent just around 2400 for 7nights and 8 days at poly with 8 day park hoppers and and the DDPfor 5 of us 2 adult and 3 children. Good deals are to be had with you are willing to look and wait.
Good luck!

has anyone used small world travel agency-the one recommended on mousesavers.com? I've just filled out there questionairre for a quote, just wondering if they are good and easy to work with. Thanks!

I have used them quite a few times and I am very happy with the service of my agent

I am using Magical Memories Travel too- and I am not an agent ;)
They have a special deal now that has discounted rooms for Thanksgiving week and they helped me with my last minute, holiday ADRs too. :)
I normally go it alone, but a deal is a deal and for the holiday week I sure did need the help ;)

I too have used Small World Vacations and am happy with the service. Nikki Z. is awesome :thumbsup2
