I've seen random comedians before a show who were just one part of the show. I don't remember the names though. Saw one show in Reno at the now closed Harrah's. It was an adult show, but in a small theater wihere the dancers were just four women and four men. I think there was a comedian when I saw Jubilee in Vegas.

Locally I saw a show at a comedy club once in the 90s. The MC also had an act and I think he had somewhat of a reputation, but can't recall his name. But the feature comedian was Bobby Slayton. Not sure how well known he is in general, but I think he's well known for those who follow comedy.
