WOW! Lot's of petrol heads on here then! I didn't realise! My current car is a blue Clio 182 Sport - and it's honestly the best car I have ever had! I have only had a few minor things go wrong with it too. DH drives a Mitsubishi Evo 8 - which I bought in a fit of pre pregnacy madness about 3 years ago! :rolleyes1

The new car is a S-MAX 2.5 turbo! It does 0.60 in 7.6 seconds which for a bus is AMAZING! It's the same engine as in the Focus ST so we should have some fun in "the big red fun bus" as we are calling it! T16 GEM is my plate too so if you see us coming up behind you move over baby! ;) :lmao:

interesting choice.... I would have gone for the 2.2 Diesel... only a fraction slower and a lot less costlier on the wallet at the pumps lol

i can't decide whether to get the mondeo estate or the s-max... driven both for a week, love them both... the mondeo has the serious style going on (estate for practicality), while the s-max has the practicality, looks nice and a higher driving position.

How much am I addicted to WDW? The first thing I did when trying to decide between the two was take our empty suitcases to the Ford dealer to see if i could fit four adults' worth of returning luggage in... so that's EIGHT cases (we shop a lot over there).... both took it, so that didn't help the choice either :rotfl2:

Yes the 2.2 would have been ideal, but it has literally cost me nothing to change to it, I am using my Tesco deals vouchers for approx 7K of the purchase and also part exing the clio, so I suppose I have had to pay about £200 in cash. I have bought it from Motorpoint and as the 2.2 is brand new out now they dn't stock them. I am well happy with my purchase though, it's only got 1000 miles on it too.

I think the S-max is a fab little car anyway, I need it for business too I am a balloon decorator by trade so I regularly have to carry lots of balloons to venues and the clio was just pants at this! with all 7 seats folded down I will be able to use it like a van so it suits from all rounds!

If I were you I would go for the S-max too, the Mondeo is nice but I think you get som much more on the S-max esp if you go for a titatnium.

I also have a black car. Its a little Chevrolet Matiz and she's called 'Minnie the Matiz'.

I have to agree, as it has matallic paint she looks sparkly when clean, but when shes dirty it really shows up.

Mine..........Silver Toyota Avensis

Mrs..........Red Vauxhall Corsa Sxi

Son.........White Seat Ibiza FR

Red and white really suits small sporty cars, especialy those with back detailing on B pillars, sills, grills and bumpers.

My big work bus looks better in silver , black or graphite grey as there is no contrasting black detailing. I get silver because it never looks dirty and is very easy to clean.
