Ok I am starting to pack in my mind. Do I need any long pants or windbreakers? Anything warm at all?
Oh yeah going June 3-12 First trip

No need for anything warm...it's getting pretty hot in Florida by June!:sunny: You'll probably need to stick in some rain ponchos for those afternoon thunderstorms that tend to pop up,then disappear before ya know it. Even after the rain it's not cool enough for a jacket in my opinion.

You might take a really light jacket or something if AC chills you in the evenings. It does me sometimes.:D

Where ya staying? We'll be there June 1 - 10th! :earsboy: :earsboy:

We are there same time frame, onsite from the 1st to the 10th (at PC except last night at AKL).

In Texas we are well into shorts weather by June and I hear it is the same for FL. I just picked up some rain ponchos at Walmart for $1 and they are Lime green :bounce: If you see us be sure to say Hi! And if we are in lime green rain ponchos, I doubt we will be hard to find...

I'll have to check our Wal-Mart for those too. That's perfect for identifying us! :earsboy:

This is me :crazy2: :earseek:  now taking microbiology waiting for June and POR!!!
This will be me then

My family and I will be going May 27 to June 5 we will be at RPR half the time and at the Dolphin for the other half. Definitely bring rain ponchos 2 pairs of shoes ( so the other has a chance to dry off) I usually bring my echo receptor sandals and New Balance cross trainers. Try to stay away from the yellow ponchos because everyone wears the yellow Mickey ones they sell at the park and you will get lost in a sea of them.

I found them difficult to find here in the bay area because our last trip was August 2003. So if you want to get them here you should try looking for them now. If not do what we did and get them at the Walmart off of 192 in Kissimmee. It will save you big money over those sold in the park.

Bring one set of clothing that is for cooler weather (sweatshirts/sweater/windbreaker) for the trip back ( you know how unpredicatable bay area weather can be and how much cooler it gets in the evenings) that way you will also have the extra clothing for the trip, not because the weather may get cooler because it has always been warm in June for us, but because most of the indoor areas in Orlando have the a/c blasting and my family and I get very cold we're not used to the extreme a/c.

Also do a search on these posts for a list of things to bring or buy the 2004 passporter.

Good luck

Ask me or PM me if you have any questions. I am both a WDW and DL veteran.

Also, what is your major I just took Micro last semester and I am in Chem 210 and Physio this semester.
Good luck

we'll be there the 8th - 24th...we might want to try and see if there is any desire to set up some sort of meet? as far as the clothes go: I usually pack one set clothes for cooler conditions even in june...not so much for the weather(it's plenty warm), but, because some of the restaurants can be a little chilly in the evenings with the AC going and all...I usually just pack a pair of lite kaki's and a lite long sleeve T for those occasions...

This was what I was going to recommend! My two trips to WDW have both been in June and I am a coldbaby when it comes to air conditioning! ;) I am going in May and I plan on bringing a longer pair of capris and a long sleeve linen or cotton t-shirt. We are driving so we have the luxury of taking a couple of extra things with us. And as someone else mentioned, an extra pair of shoes in case yours get wet.

Something else I do, and I'm not sure if I'm the only one who does this, I take an extra bathing suit. If you swim in the afternoon and then want to swim again in the evening when you get back to the hotel, your suit may or may not be dry. For some reason, it grosses me out to put a damp suit back on, so when I go on vacation I usually try to take two with me.

Have a great trip!

MandaMom.....
OMG...... What an adorable picture!! :cutie:

Is that your daughter....beautiful!

Where were you when you took it?

I love the outfits that Minnie and Daisy have on too. But can't think of where they together for a photo opp?!:scratchin

Thanks for all the advice. I like to start buying things early so I don't have a huge expense right before our trip.
MandaMom, I am hoping to get into an RN program. This is my last class and all I can do is wait until there is a slot for me, maybe up to a year. I will get there some time and then the next trip to WDW will be deluxe all the way.::yes::

......about the ponchos: I learned a LONG time ago that I wound up wetter after wearing a poncho than if I would've just walked from building to building in the rain. Having my body wrapped in a peice of plastic on a warm, humid, Florida, June day is not real conducive to any positive reaction from my sweat glands. That may just be me though. I'm a "sweat - er" (as opposed to a sweater :teeth: )

We always opt for the inexpensive, compact umbrellas that fit nicely into a back pack. They make 'em big enough now to where an adult and a child can share one.......while still folding up nice and compact. :umbrella:

Just another option to consider. :wave2:

I can not stress to you just how HOT it is here in Florida from May to August. Even after living here my entire life, I'm still not used to the heat. Make sure to drink PLENTY of water, wears LOTS of sunscreen, and avoid wearing ANYTHING BLACK! The only time you may need a jacket is if it's too cold from the a/c!

Howdy from Texas!
My family will be there the first 11 nights of June as well. We will be at the All Star Sports. (cheaper stay = longer stay for us)
I trust that the weather for Orlando will be as hot as it is for Texas, but with more moisture added in to the equation.
My question is this: What are the chances for a freak cold front coming through?

This is advice from someone who is always cold. We were in WDW last June. We had a day of heavy rain. Even tho it was hot, it made me cold when we went into air conditioning. By the time we got back to the room, I had such a chill that I had to put the heat on (only for a little while).

We always have gone in May/June. I always bring one pair of pants for kids and DH - they never need them. I always have capris for me and a sweater - for inside.

It's a wonderful time - have fun.

Bring PLENTY of socks (and, if you do not have access to a W/D) you might want to bring old pairs and throw them away. I really like the earlier suggestion to bring two pairs of shoes.

Last time we were there in early July, and we got rained on everyday, and by the end of the week, our shoes and socks smelled SO bad, that we all just threw them in a dumpster on the way out!! I wish I had brought more than one pair of socks for each day. I would suggest putting a spare pair for everyone in a bag, and take it to the park with you.

Have fun!!!!!

We were there first week of June02. It was HOT, HOT, HOT!
If rain to AC bothers you, bring a light sweater, but I really don't think you'll need anything other than that.
Remember, hats, sun screen, lots of water, and most important (our lifesaver) those "squeeze breeze" water fans. Pick them up at Walmart prior (about $6-8) Disney has them but there are $15-18 (can't remember exactly price). We filled it with ice and a little water for the day at the park.
We also usually needed to take a afternoon pool break to cool off a bit.
