I haven’t left the house yet, so no after Christmas candy for me. We have enough in the house to get us through New Year’s anyway. I did browse the online sales though. Didn’t buy anything there either.
We already have a few things I was gifted, love the Ferrero Rocher. I was at Walmart and the shelves were full of 50% off candy, usually its already gone. I expect people are clean out of money, things are tight and people are struggling right now.
There were a surprisingly large quantity of Reese’s peanut butter cup miniatures bags at my local super Walmart. Regular plus bells and one or two unusual flavors.
Walmart also had a ton of those boxed food gifts: sausages and cheese, hot sauces, cocoa mix with mug, etc.
I have a feeling someone forgot they were in the backroom until December 26.
OMG I was at two different Walmarts yesterday and I am not a shopper. My youngest daughter started buying up more lights, garland and other stuff. I needed to go pick up some tickets and she decided she needed more garland fro around her front door and more lights so to that Walmart we went. She ended up with a tree for her front yard, more garland, more lights and a snowman. Both places the cart was full. I did buy a little lindor chocolate thing. : )
I avoided the temptation of after Christmas sales by being away and having no extra room in my bags! Otherwise it can be tough to resist, especially when things get to the 75% or higher discount level.
