This is my son's first trip (all my family really) to Disney. My daughter is really into Cinderella and we're dining at CRT for her. I want to do something special for my 4 year old son but he's not interested in Mickey Mouse, Pooh or any of the traditional characters even though we are doing the Chef Mickey and Backyard BBQ.

Is there a special location or event that would have Nemo, Buzz Lightyear and Woody or other characters along those lines?

My son loves Stitch. I believe O'hana's has Lilo & Stitch for Breakfast. We're trying Hollywood & Vine this year because our DS2 loves Goliath and our DS5 likes the Little Einsteins. A winner for both!

You can meet Buzz and Woody, but no character meals with them ( i really wish there were though, my girls would love it). Although you can eat in Pizza Planet..no characters though.
I would have to just repeat what the pp said about the Ohana breakfast with Lilo and Stich. There really isn't many meals "for boys" if they aren't into Mickey and the gang.
Hoolywood and Vine haas JoJo and Goliath and Leo and June from Little Einstein.

Our son was 4 at the time we took him for his 1st trip (last year). We saw Buzz, Woody and Jessie at MGM (Al's Toy Barn), Stanley and Rafiki at Animal Kingdom. Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore, Piglet at Crystal Palace. Mickey, Chip n Dale, Goofy at Chef Mickeys. Pluto at the entrance of MK. He was thrilled with all of these characters. I still can't believe they won't do a Toy Story themed meal for the boys. :confused3

My son wasn't much into Pooh, Tigger, etc either---but once he saw them he loved being able to get his pic taken and get their autographs. So don't be surprised if he ends up loving them afterall!! :) Have fun!

We had pics taken with Woody and Jesse at MK, Buzz and the Green Army men at MGM. Also Lilo and Stitch at AK, Baloo, King Louie, Rafiki(Lion King)the Genie(Aladin) Mr and Mrs. Incredible. Another was Chicken Little was at MGM(don't know if he still is) when we were there in Feb. Since there weren't any other kids waiting for Chicken, he took my son around the room and played those computer games...great pics and fun time. My son was 3 3/4 at the time and very into seeing the characters on our last trip. If he saw one, he wanted to get a picture with them. Big change from when he was two yrs old!

I'd recommend:
- watching the MGM parade (Lightning McQueen and Mater from CARS are in it)
- heading to Al's Toy Barn at MGM to meet Woody, Buzz, and the army man
- stop by the Diamond Horseshoe in MK to meet Jesse and Bullseye (and Woody again)
- do Turtle Talk w/ Crush in EPCOT
- I believe the Incredibles are in Tomorrowland somewhere, though we didn't see them

My son loves the Playhouse Disney crew so he ADORED the Playhouse Disney show at MGM. This year, we're doing the character lunch with the Little Einsteins because he loves them.

I agree with some of the other posts. You and your DS might be both surprised with the character interaction when you are actually at WDW. My DS was 4 1/2 on his first trip to WDW. He took photos with everyone except the princesses. He didn't know the Jungle Book characters(now he does) but we have photos with them. Have a Wonderful trip. :wizard: You will have so many memories.

Does he like Donald? You could do Donald's Breakfastosauras at AK one morning.

He loves Power Rangers and Jungle Book movies along with Tarzan. Thanks for all the tips. He's never really watched traditional TV so he literally doesn't really know much about Mickey Mouse, Donald, Goofy , Pluto and such. I'm sure he'll enjoy it when he's actually there I was just hoping he could really see some of his favorites so at least I have a good idea of where to find them. Thanks Again!

You can see some of the Jungle Book characters sometimes in the parks, just ckeck with guest servieces and see if and where you can meet his favorite chatacters, parades are also a good idea, but then you don't get interaction with the characteres.

YEAH! I am going to use your ideas for DS Woody, age 2. He likes MM but he has to meet Woody and Buzz, doesn't he???
