What characters need more presence in the parks?

I always thought the (rather boring and un-Disney looking) All Star Music Resort should be themed to these under appreciated movies. They could focus on the songs from them. For example have a Bambi-themed building that focused on the "April Showers" song. Or a Pinocchio building with "Let Your Conscience Be Your Guide" as it's theme. Since this resort is meant to appeal to adults wanting value, using the older movies would still work for that, but also be fun for kids.

ENCHANTED!!!!! Amy Adams was GREAT in that movie and Idina Manzel was in it....so it sortve is related to Frozen. Enchanted and Tangled need way more face time in the parks.

I really wish they'd bring back the Figment costumed character. I remember getting my picture taken with him in 2007, the entire character interaction was great!

Also, Dipper and Mabel Pines (from Gravity Falls, a Disney XD show) face characters would be really cool. I know they have Phineas and Ferb masked characters, and Gravity Falls is even more popular than P&F.

i still don't understand the lack of hercules personally. If greece in the world showcase ever manages to become an option, i could see them definitely putting a meet and greet there, but until then i dont think we will find anything!

I completely agree!! Meg is one of my favorite Disney characters. Her sass and sarcasm is unmatched. I have never gotten a chance to see her in the parks. :(

Definitely Hercules and Meg. Such a great movie! I'd also love to see more Pocahontas, Hunchback/Quasimodo, Flynn Ryder, and Lion King.

See I still wonder why Disney as a park ignores the smash hit that Kingdom Hearts was. You could easily do Sora, Riku, Kairi, and donald and Goofy in their KH get ups. I know there would be concern for those who have no idea what it is but put it somewhere off the beaten path. I think that would be amazing.

And Hunchback. I want to hug Quasimodo.

My son has been saying this for years. :thumbsup2

I personally think they lean too heavy on animated movies instead of original IPs just for the parks. Some of their bests rides and attractions have no movie tie in.

I would love to see more of Bambi and friends as well as Robin Hood and friends. I grew up with those movies!

Nothing from the Emperor's New Groove? Who wouldn't want a M&G with Kuzco, Yzma, and Kronk? Highly underrated movie that deserves something at WDW.

The absence of Wall-E and Eve is downright strange. It makes zero sense. I would guess that Futureland is the next area due for an upgrade, so maybe we'll finally see a Wall-E ride then, but not even having Wall-E rolling around the park is just odd. Makes me suspect there's some sort of legal reason for it, but I can't imagine how since Wall-E is a Disney property. Has Disney ever given an official explanation for this?

We danced with Monster Inc characters Sulley, Mike, Needleman and George Sanderson, with a sock stuck to him, at the Monstrous Scream-o-ween Ball during the Halloween Party last fall.
Another vote for Figment from us!

As for Kingdom Hearts, the non-Disney characters are owned by Square-Enix and Disney would have to pay rights to use them in the park.. something they probably don't want to do.

There is a Wall-E that moves and acts like PUSH. It's controlled by a 'hidden in the crowd' cast member. They should bring that into the park. (There's Youtube videos of the little robot.)

I would love more visibility of Hyacinth. She is my favorite from the animated characters! She and her dancing buddy Hippos are represented in 2 of the floats in MK's Festival of Fantasy parade.

Darkwing Duck!

Sorry, that was my early 90s Disney Afternoon adolescence speaking. In all seriousness, I'm not a character M&G guy, but I'd wait in line to get a picture with DD. I LOVED that show as a kid (and Ducktales, of course).

I agree with Lion King, there needs to be more! Also, maybe I missed it, but I didn't see any of The Incredibles or the Monsters Inc crew :confused3
You can find the "Incredibles" at the Animation building at HS............at least we did. I'd like to see more of the 7 Dwarves. They only seem to show for M&G's during Halloween and Christmas. We were also able to interact with them during the FOF parade........but a M&G would be great given the ride in Fantasyland in their honor. :love1:

Doug :goofy:

YES SERIOUSLY. A Kuzco M&G would be like the Gaston one, I imagine. Start small with everyone being like why would I go see this person? But by word of mouth and how amazing the interaction was, it would explode in popularity.

I WOULD LOVE LOVE LOVE A DIPPER AND MABEL MEET. Gravity Falls is so great ad they should definitely be around more!
