What car service did you use from Sanford to WDW?

I know this has been asked over & over but I never had the need to read the threads! I'm about to book Allegiant to Sanford - seats are $79 & $99 one way (vs. USAir which is at $371 one way!). So even adding in the car service & an extra night (Allegiant only flies certain days from our airport), I will still come out cheaper than taking USAir.

I see on the Sanford website there are OODLES of recommendations for a car service. I'm looking for anyone here that can personally recommend one that they've used, as I've not heard of any of them. Mears does transfers from Sanford, which I will book at $135 plus tip one way, if I don't find anything cheaper.

I'm not interested at all in renting a car.

Thanks!

I would love this information as well. We are flying on Allegiant this August for a Universal trip. I did however see some town car companies advertising 140$ RT
(Before tip) but have never personally used any of them.

What are your dates - we could share a car service if they're the same! I need it around 12:45pm 8/8.

At this point I think I will just book Mears for $135 (plus tip) one way, as I've used Mears before & haven't heard of any of the others. I did book the Allegiant flight, $79.99 per person (vs. $371 pp on USAir to MCO).

You should also check into renting a car. I was able to rent a car in January for 3 days from Sanford for about $125. Check into car rental promotions, etc...you may be surprised at what you can find. It's likely that you can find something significantly cheaper than a car service.

I wouldn't use a car service that was charging less than about $200. Sometimes the cheap comes out expensive. There is a company called "Sanford Transportation" that is very inexpensive, but has gotten very bad reviews.

Tiffany Town Cars and Florida Tours get consistently good reviews - I would call one of them.

I know its less expensive but I have zero interest in renting a car, even if its cheaper!

I did contact both, they do not do transfers from Sanford. I just need one way - you mentioned not going less than $200 - I'm assuming you mean round trip, they are all less than $200 for the one way transfer. I was just hoping to get a personal recommendation from someone on here that's used one. Looks like it will be Mears!

Tara, I just priced out tickets from Allegiant and at the screen for payment is an option for shuttle service $61 a person.
There are multiple drops but Universal is closer the the Disney resorts.

May I ask why you don't want to rent a car? The drive is SUPER easy.

Driving is my very least favorite thing to do...when I'm on vacation relaxation starts when I get on that plane - there's no way I'm dealing with it! I want someone to get me & the kids from Point A to Point B without me having to think about it, even if it costs more! DH won't be with us so I'd have to do the driving.

I saw that! There's 3 of us so still cheaper to use Mears town car service. I'm not going to Universal, I think that was someone else. I'm going to wait a few weeks to book just in case something better pops up.

It is pricey with three, I was thinking it was only your son. $350 for dd and I to fly Allegient then we would rent a car Sanford. The ABE connecting US air to PHl to MCO was $387 and 2 1/2 hrs longer, flying in Sept.
I am without my dh or ds to drive so I decided on that option; the return flight is not until 5:30 PM connecting in Charolette instead of the early flight at Sanford. I have ME An extra day onsite, and connection, plus $50.

Sounds like we have the same plan! We're also coming home on USAir via Philly, the 7:35pm flight that gets into ABE at 11:35pm. It was only $102 per person.

Yup, I love the later flight even if it connects. I didn't dh to dive down so late to pick us up so. Choose 5:30 pm, now I am rethinking it, lol

Thanks for the share offer,TaraPa, and the info about the town car service, Alesia.
We will be at Uni the 18-26 so on our own!
Absolutely no interest in car rental either, parking at RPR is crazy$$! I will check
Out Mears as well. However one of the reasons we wanted town car service was to do a grocery stop as we will be staying 7 nights and like to eat some meals in.

If you don't want to waste precious vacation time in the grocery store, you can get grocery delivery from gardengrocer.com or wegoshop.com
