What Car Rental Places Are in Disney and at Port Canaveral?

We are a group of 7 who will arrive at MCO about 2:30 PM. Originally, I was going to rent a minivan at the airport until I questioned whether 7 (4 adults, 1 teen and 2 kids) could fit themselves and luggage into a minivan. I am now thinking of taking the Magic Your Way to the Wilderness Lodge Villas and then renting a minivan at Disney. I know Budget is at Disney and at the Cape but where is the rental place in Disney. I would keep this minivan and then rent a car for one day for the trip to Port Canaveral where I would turn in both cars. I think we would then take Disney's transportation back to the airport. Do you think this will work? How far is the rental from the Wilderness and should one person take a cab or should I just rent the minivan at the airport and send a few people and some luggage via Magic Your Way. Opinions are appreciated.

The car rental at WDW is National/Alamo, not Budget. (although I think there may be a Budget location near Downtown Disney in a non-Disney hotel). The National/Alamo locations on WDW property are in either the Swan or the Dolphin (not positive which hotel) and at the Car Care Center (I think it's on the main road that leads to MK ~ can't remember the name of the road) so the Car Care Center will be closer to the VWL.

There is a National location near Port Canveral, but to my knowledge they do not offer a shuttle to the port ~ you would need to take a cab to get to the cruise terminal. Check out this site for info on car rental locations near PC:

Have you thought about taking the MYW transportation to WDW, then hiring a van/towncar service to take you to PC instead of renting 2 cars? Not sure how that would work out price wise.

There is a Budget at the DoubleTree hotel in DTD and an Avis in the Hilton at DTD..... (try www.rentalcarmomma.com for Budget rental discounts. we got a SUV for 8 days for $171.05 thru them!--and we are picking up at DTD and returning the car to MCO) Good luck!

Just found out, there is a Dollar Rental car at the Holiday Inn at DTD....but, the hotel might be closed for repair due to hurricanes last year.....BUT, at least you know it's there!!

Hertz has a Kissimmee-Walt Disney World location. Hertz will pick you up at any WDW reosrt with a free shuttle.

Hertz also has a Cape Canaveral location, with a free shuttle to the cruise terminals.
