What can you tell me about these areas: Chatham Park; Indian Pointe; Indian Ridge

Ok...still looking....sigh.

Found a couple possibilities in Chatam Park, Indian Pointe and Indian Ridge. I realize that Ridge is closest to the park, but are Chatham or Pointe trouble to get to/from...or is just distance. Mapquest says it's about 7 miles, so that still seems close enough to not really be a big deal.

So..what do you know about these neighborhoods.....traffic, construction, age of homes, congestion because they're so popular......tell me everything!

I can tell you about Indian Ridge. It's a small housing developement that has ranch homes, the majority have pools and spas. There are only 2 streets that are not cul-de-sacs. One goes all the way around the community and one goes through the middle. Hence not much traffic on the streets.


There are short term rentals but with the heavy competition from WH, MD and the tons of other places around, IR is slowing down with STR and more and more houses are up for long term rentals now.

I dont know excatly when the houses were built. I want to say around 15 years ago but I could be wrong. Construction is sound---according to my carpenter DH.

I don't know if you need info for kids but there are a LOT of kids here! They go to Reedy Creek Elementary, Horizons Middle and Celebration High. There is also a charter school, 4 Corners.

IR is a nice place. I have lived here for 18 months and all of our neighbors are full time residents and we don't have any short terms on our street. The majority of the people work at WDW or have retired from there. We have a good mixture of both young and old.
