We have 60 rooms reserved there for our upcoming band trip for the week of Thanksgiving.

Just how far is this hotel from the parks (estimated driving time)?

How is the pool?

The service?

How is their free continental breakfast vs their breakfast buffet ($5 more)

General pros and cons that might help me prepare the students/chaperones would be greatly appreciated. :)

We didn't stay there, but we stayed at the (Radisson) Palm Parkway last Christmas for a week, so I can only talk about the location. That - location - was GREAT!! :cool1: You are literally a block from Hotel Plaza Boulevard, which to us was the hidden shortcut of all time. We were at any of the Disney parks within 10 minutes, providing we made the lights, otherwise we were there within 15 minutes. Beats the half-hour to hour Disney shuttle trips.... :moped:

Good luck with your band trip.

We stayed there in 2001. It was definitely not the fanciest hotel I've ever stayed in, but I think it was well worth the money we spent. Our room was very clean and housekeeping did an excellent job for our entire stay.

As for the location, we drove to all 4 Disney parks, Universal, Sea World, Wet N Wild, Typhoon Lagoon, and Blizzard Beach. We didn't have any traffic problems at all. We were only about 10 minutes from each parking lot.

Our kids enjoyed the pool, it was clean and well kept, just a little small compared to some other hotels.

We had no complaints with the service. Everyone from the front desk to maintenance people were friendly and helpful.

They didn't have the free breakfast when we were there, but the buffet was good. Just your typical breakfast foods, but the restaurant was clean and everything seemed fresh.

One good thing about the location...there are many good places to eat within just a few blocks of the hotel. Olive Garden, TGI Fridays, Joe's Crab Shack, Hooters, and many more. Lots of fast food and buffet (Golden Corral type places) in the area as well.

You are only blocks away from Downtown Disney. We went there almost every night.

It has been a few years since we stayed there. I have heard some bad reports about the hotel since we were there. I feel like we had a pretty good deal. At $35.00/night, I wasn't expecting the Ritz!

Hope you have a great trip!!!
